- Considers the question of providing subject access to readers in Australia whose first language is not English. Describes 2 methods of subject searching: descriptive cataloguing; and controlled subject access. Sets out the reasons why presenting multilingual subject access to online catalogue users would be difficult and discusses the value of classification schemes in facilitating multilingual controlled subject access.
