Google will in diesen Tagen im Rahmen eines Zehn-Jahres-Projektes mit dem Scannen von 15 Millionen Büchern von der Oxford University, Harvard University, Stanford University, der University of Michigan und der New York Public Library beginnen. Die Bücher, bei denen alle Copyrights erloschen sind, werden vollständig online gebracht. Aus den anderen Büchern sollen Auszüge offeriert werden.
