Abstract

Multimediale Lernumgebungen werden bislang von wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken in Form von CD-ROMs zur Verfügung gestellt oder über Hyperlinks zu Angeboten von Fachbereichen, die von diesen selbst verwaltet und gepflegt werden. Ober diese Angebote hat Monika Cremer in ihrem Artikel "Multimedia in deutschen Bibliotheken" einen breiten Oberblick gegeben. An dieser Stelle soll ein seit dem 1.10.2000 laufendes Projekt vorgestellt werden, bei dem die Bibliothek schon in die Entwicklung der Lernumgebung einbezogen ist und die Verwaltung sowie die Distribution vollständig übernimmt. Dadurch wird das Dienstleistungsspektrum der Bibliothek sowohl gegenüber den Fachbereichen als auch gegenüber den Studierenden signifikant erweitert

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag wird anhand praktischer Beispiele von Internet-Angeboten aufgezeigt wie weitgehend und umfassend Informations-Design bei der Formung von multimedialen Kommunikationslösungen beteiligt ist und welche Aspekte dabei wichtig sind. Es werden konzeptionell-strategische Gesamtaspekte beleuchtet und funktional-optisch wichtige Details aufgezeigt. Die Bedeutung von Informations-Design für die Oualität von vor allem elektronischen Publikationen und Anwendungen wird im Hinblick auf den Anwendernutzen dargestellt.

Abstract

Die Menge an Daten im Internet steigt weiter rapide an. Damit wächst auch der Bedarf an qualitativ hochwertigen Information Retrieval Diensten zur Orientierung und problemorientierten Suche. Die Entscheidung für die Benutzung oder Beschaffung von Information Retrieval Software erfordert aussagekräftige Evaluierungsergebnisse. Dieser Beitrag stellt neuere Entwicklungen bei der Evaluierung von Information Retrieval Systemen vor und zeigt den Trend zu Spezialisierung und Diversifizierung von Evaluierungsstudien, die den Realitätsgrad derErgebnisse erhöhen. Abstract

Die elektronische Distribution auch für digitalisierte Videos und Bilder zu nutzen ist Ziel zahlreicher Überlegungen. Damit wird nicht nur die Verfügbarkeit der bislang nur über die Ausleihe vertriebenen Titel am Lernort erheblich verbessert. Die Integration von Internet, Software und digitalen Videos wird aber auch ganz neue didaktische Konzepte für das Lernen und Lehren ermöglichen. Das Potenzial wird noch einmal dadurch gesteigert, wenn zusätzlich digitale Medienmodule (Videoclips, Grafiken, Tondateien, Texte usw.) produziert und angeboten werden können.
