    Abstract
    Das Hamburger Unternehmen Seruba unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Winfried Schmitz-Esser hat unter der Adresse www.lex4.com eine "Internet-Suchmaschine der nächsten Generation" gestartet, über die ein Thema in Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Spanisch erschlossen werden kann. Lex4 basiert auf den "Lexicosaurus", einer Kombination aus Lexikon und Thesaurus, die dreierlei verzeichnet: was unter einem bestimmten Begriff zu verstehen ist, in welchem Zusammenhang dieser Begriff zu anderen Begriffen steht und welche Ausdrücke für diesen Begriff in den vier genannten Sprachen geläufig sind. Insgesamt sind in dem semantischen Netzwerk über 500.000 Einzelbegriffe zu Bedeutungs- und Themenzusammenhängen verknüpft.
