    Abstract
    Im Jänner 2014 startete das dreijährige, vom Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft geförderte Hochschulraumstrukturmittelprojekt e-Infrastructures Austria, das den koordinierten Ausbau und die Weiterentwicklung von Repositorieninfrastrukturen, ein strategisches Konzept für zukünftiges Forschungsdatenmanagement in Österreich sowie den Aufbau eines Wissensnetzwerks für die sichere Archivierung und Verbreitung von elektronischen Publikationen, Multimedia-Objekten und anderen digitalen Daten aus Forschung und Lehre verfolgt. Dabei geht es sowohl um die Errichtung von technischen Infrastrukturen als auch um die Schaffung einer Wissensbasis für zukünftige Serviceangebote in diesem Bereich. Grundlage für die erfolgreiche Abwicklung des Projekts war der rasche Aufbau eines österreichweiten Netzwerks von 25 Institutionen, davon 20 Universitäten. Die Zusammenarbeit erfolgt über Instrumente, die bei Bedarf erweiterbar sind: fünf Gremien und eine Governance, die Rollen und Verantwortlichkeiten regelt. Die identifizierten Themenbereiche werden in interdisziplinären und auf Zeit eingesetzten "Work-Package-Clustern" behandelt. Das Projekt bietet eine Plattform für zahlreiche Vernetzungsforen, Sitzungen und Weiterbildungseinheiten, in denen alle Bundesländer einbezogen sind, und zu denen nicht nur Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare, sondern auch weitere relevante Stakeholder, wie etwa Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus den lokalen IT-Einrichtungen, Forschungsservices und juristischen Abteilungen sowie Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, eingeladen sind. Somit greift das Projekt nicht nur thematisch, sondern auch organisatorisch weit über die konkrete Bibliotheksperspektive hinaus. Der Bericht informiert über die Projektziele von e-Infrastructures Austria, über die 2014 erfolgte Etablierung des Netzwerks und der Gremien sowie über die im ersten Jahr des Projekts in den Clustern erreichten Ergebnisse und die 2015 zu leistenden Aufgaben.

    Im Januar 2014 wurde in Österreich das dreijährige vom Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft (BMWFW) geförderte Partnerprojekt e-Infrastructures Austria initiiert, das den koordinierten Ausbau von digitalen Archiven, die Weiterentwicklung von Services und den Aufbau eines Wissensnetzwerks für die Bereitstellung, Verbreitung und sichere Archivierung von elektronischen Publikationen, Multimedia-Objekten und anderen Daten aus Forschung und Lehre verfolgt. An den 20 teilnehmenden Universitäten und fünf weiteren Forschungseinrichtungen geht es nicht nur darum, die technische Infrastruktur bereitzustellen, sondern vor allem auch um ein strategisches Konzept für das zukünftige Forschungsdatenmanagement in Österreich. Dabei wird auf die Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen Bezug genommen, die sich durch den Umgang mit digitalen Objekten und sich ständig erweiternde Anwendungsbereiche ergeben. Heute sind innovative Formen der Nachnutzung gefragt, postuliert durch den Open Access-Gedanken und das Konzept einer kooperativen, offenen Wissenschaft. Bei der langfristigen strategischen Planung von Repositorien gilt es, Interoperabilität, eine laufende Erweiterung der Systeme, Organisation und Management zu beachten. Eine Grundvoraussetzung dafür, dass Daten langfristig auffindbar, verständlich und nachnutzbar bleiben, ist die Wahrung der Rechtssicherheit. Alle wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen sollten für die Schaffung eines gemeinsamen Rechtsraums sorgen. Dieser kann durch die Einführung von geeigneten Policies und Datenmanagementplänen begleitet werden. e-Infrastructures Austria involviert mit der verfolgten Projektstruktur unterschiedliche Stakeholder (Bibliotheken, lokale IT-Dienstleister, Wissenschafter, Beschäftigte aus juristischen Abteilungen, institutionelle und nationale Forschungsförderungsbüros). Dadurch sollten spezifische Rollen und Verantwortlichkeiten in den Prozessen des digitalen Workflows wahrgenommen werden.

    Abstract
    Im Jänner 2014 wurde das nationale dreijährige HRSM-Projekt e-Infrastructures Austria initiiert. Gesamtziel ist der koordinierte Aufbau und die Weiterentwicklung von Repositorieninfrastrukturen für Forschung und Lehre in ganz Österreich sowie ein effizientes und nachhaltiges Forschungsdatenmanagement an allen teilnehmenden 20 Universitäten und fünf weiteren außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen. Das Projekt gliedert sich in drei Teilprojekte, die thematisch ineinander übergreifen und/oder aufeinander aufbauen. Die Koordination erfolgt durch die Universität Wien. Bis Ende 2016 sollen drei Ziele realisiert werden: - Teilprojekt A (Ziel 1): Aufbau von Dokumentenservern auf lokaler Ebene an den Partneruniversitäten. Zweck: Aufstellung von institutionellen Repositorien an allen teilnehmenden Einrichtungen (alle österreichischen Universitäten mit Ausnahme der Medizinischen Universität Innsbruck) - Teilprojekt B (Ziel 2): Erarbeitung eines strategischen Konzepts für das zukünftige Forschungsdatenmanagement in Österreich - Teilprojekt C (Ziel 3): Aufbau einer Wissensinfrastruktur ("knowledge infrastructure") für alle 25 Projektpartner.
    In der jetzigen Phase des Projekts e-Infrastructures Austria erfolgt eine Fokussierung auf den Aufbau von Repositorien, darunter die Kategorie der sogenannten Dokumentenserver (unter denen sich bislang die unterschiedlichen institutional repositories österr.     Abstract
    Im zweiten Projektjahr hat sich das HRSM-Projekt e-Infrastructures Austria nicht nur zu einer breit akzeptierten Plattform für Vernetzungsforen, Sitzungen und Weiterbildungseinheiten etabliert, sondern es stehen auch erste Deliverables zur Verfügung, die dem Gesamtziel, dem Aufbau von nachhaltigen Archivinfrastrukturen und der Konsolidierung von Wissen im Bereich Sicherung und Bereitstellung von digitalen Daten, dienlich sind. Anfang 2015 wurde im Rahmen des Projekts eine Befragung durchgeführt, welche das wissenschaftliche und künstlerisch-wissenschaftliche Personal 20 öffentlicher Universitäten sowie drei außeruniversitärer Forschungseinrichtungen in Österreich umfasste. Ziel war es, den praktischen Umgang mit Forschungsdaten zu erheben und das Serviceangebot in diesem Bereich auf die vorhandenen Bedürfnisse abzustimmen. Die Befragungsergebnisse zeigen einen deutlichen Nachholbedarf im Bereich des Datenmanagements. Der Aufbau der technischen Infrastruktur im Bereich Dokumentenserver (Projektsäule A) ist bei allen Partnern weit vorangeschritten, daher wird die Konzentration im letzten Projektjahr vor allem auf Säule B (Forschungsdaten) liegen. Der Forschungsdaten-Abschlussbericht bildet die Basis für eine ExpertInnengruppe, die sich mit der Frage der strategischen Ausrichtung für den Umgang mit Forschungsdaten und Forschungsdatenmanagement in Österreich beschäftigt. Projektsäule C (Wissensnetzwerk) erfährt insofern eine Stärkung, als für das letzte Projektjahr eine zentral organisierte, viertägige Veranstaltung "Fortbildungsseminar für Forschungsdaten und e-Infrastrukturen" für alle Projektpartner konzipiert wird.

    Abstract
    This article contains a discussion of the bibliographical databases of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Democratic Republic, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. Along with the national bibliographies are included catalogs, union catalogs and centralized services insofar as they have national significance for each country. German-language book production is reported on in many bibliographical databases, at the moment predominantly in printed form. However, an increasing readiness for the production and use of databases in electronic form is noticeable. It is to be wished that the necessity of better and more economical use of bibliographical resources will lead to increasing coordination and cooperation in the German-speaking countries.

    Dieser Artikel enthält eine Auswertung der Telefonumfrage zum Thema "Metadaten", die im Sommer 2015 unter den am Projekt e-Infrastructures Austria teilnehmenden Institutionen durchgeführt wurde. Ziel der Befragung war eine Bestandsaufnahme der an den einzelnen Universitäten im Einsatz befindlichen Repositorien, um einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Softwaresysteme und deren spezifische Einsatzzwecke, die am häufigsten verwendeten Metadatenstandards und die Gepflogenheiten bzw.
