    "Die "Systematik für Bibliotheken" (SfB) wird als Systematik für Öffentliche Bibliotheken durch die Kooperation der Büchereizentrale Schleswig Holstein, der Stadtbibliothek Bremen, der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt am Main und der Stadtbibliothek Hannover gepflegt. Ein weiterer wichtiger Partner ist die ekz, die sich sowohl an der fachlichen Weiterentwicklung der SfB beteiligt als auch das Hosting für die Sm-online (www.sfb-online.de) leistet. Alljährlich wird ein Update veröffentlicht, zu dem jeweils eine Systematikgruppe strukturell umgearbeitet wird und in den anderen Fächern bedarfsabhängig sachliche oder terminologische Aktualisierungen vorgenommen werden. Alle Änderungen werden detailliert dokumentiert. Zum Update 2013 wurde "Medizin" überarbeitet. Spezialisierungen aus Zeiten großer Sachbuchbestände, z. B. "Raumfahrtmedizin", wurden gestrichen, an Bedeutung gewinnende Themen ergänzt. So berücksichtigt die Systematik jetzt neue Strukturen und Berufsbezeichnungen im Gesundheitswesen und in der Krankenpflege: aus "Arzt. Medizinisches Hilfspersonal" wurden "Heilberufe. Gesundheitsfachberufe", denn Schwestern sind an den Krankenbetten passé, heute arbeiten dort Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger/innen. Die Palliativpflege und Sterbebegleitung wurde aus dem Zusammenhang der "Medizinischen Ethik" in die "Gesundheitspflege" verschoben, da in unserer Gesellschaft inzwischen Konsens darüber besteht, dass Menschen in Würde sterben sollen. Der alternden Gesellschaft trägt nicht nur die Nachfrage in Bibliotheken, sondern nun auch die SfB mit neuen Notationen im "Gesundheitswesen" für Altenpflege und Ambulante Hilfs- und Pflegedienste sowie in der "Geriatrie" für Demenzerkrankungen Rechnung. Neben Veränderungen bereits vorhandener sind auch neue Themen berücksichtigt: Eine neue Stelle "Gewichtsprobleme" im Bereich Gesundheitspflege nimmt Medien auf, die, dem wachsendem Gesundheitsbewusstsein entsprechend, nicht Diäten als Patentrezept, sondern ein generelles Umdenken im Umgang mit dem eigenen Gewicht behandeln. Als sich 2011 mit dem VÖBB Berlin ein großes Bibliothekssystem entschied, seine Bestände künftig nach SfB zu systematisieren, wurde für nahezu alle Fächer eine kurze Einführung in die Anwendungspraxis erarbeitet. Sie bietet vor allem SfB-Einsteigern eine übersichtliche Orientierungshilfe. Neben einer kurzen Gliederung des Fachs, gibt es Hinweise auf Themenkomplexe sowie auf inhaltliche Überschneidungen mit anderen Sachgebieten. In Verbindung mit den übrigen Verweisungen erleichtern diese Abgrenzungen die systematische Zuordnung. Kontinuierlich werden zudem aus der täglichen Praxis heraus spezielle Hinweise zum sachgerechten Systematisieren in den Sachgebieten hinterlegt. Mit einem Klick auf eine blau unterlegte Notation, z. B. Th 535, können sie aufgerufen werden. Anregungen ihrer Anwender sind der SfB-Kooperation immer willkommen. Zuletzt wurde auf vielfältigen Wunsch hin die Zusatzvereinbarung zur SfB zur Kinder- und Jugendliteratursystematik um die Bereiche "Fantasy" und "Krimi" erweitert. Sind Sie neugierig geworden?     Abstract
    Systematiken zur Erschließung der Medienbestände sind alltägliches Handwerkszeug in der Bibliothekspraxis. Unspektakulär und kaum beachtet - wenn sie auf aktuellem Stand sind, den dynamischen Anforderungen des Medienmarkts gerecht werden und bequem zusammen mit Katalogdaten und den Medien ins Haus geliefert werden. Um die beiden meistverwendeten Systematiken in Öffentlichen Bibliotheken in Deutschland, die ASB (Allgemeine Systematik für Öffentliche Bibliotheken) und die KAB (Klassifikation für Allgemeinbibliotheken), wieder zu einem solchen unverzichtbaren Handwerkszeug zu machen, haben der Berufsverband Information Bibliothek (BIB) und der Deutsche Bibliotheksverband (dbv) als Rechteinhaber der Systematiken 2009 mit der ekz. bibliotheksservice GmbH ihre bestehende Partnerschaft in der »Systematikkooperation« erneuert. Das Ziel ist, durch gemeinsames Engagement die Systematiken künftig laufend den aktuellen Medienentwicklungen anzupassen und weiterzuentwickeln.

    "Im Frühjahr 2010 hat eine Kommission aus je drei Praktikerinnen und Systematikexpertinnen aus ASB- und KAB-Anwenderbibliotheken ihre Arbeit aufgenommen. Als ASB-Expertinnen aktiv sind: Birgit Bellinger (Stadtbücherei Stuttgart), Barbara Kette (Stadtbibliothek Mannheim) und Uta Nieper (Stadtbibliothek Saarbrücken). Die KAB wird vertreten durch Sigrid Riedel (Stadt- und Regionalbibliothek Frankfurt/ Oder), Ulrike Rosner (Stadtbibliothek Chemnitz) und Daniela Sitte-Zöllner (Städtische Bibliotheken Dresden). Tatkräftig unterstützt wird die Expertinnengruppe von der ekz, die die Geschäfte führt und das Know-how der ekz-Systematisierer einbringt. Den Vorsitz hat Heinz-Jürgen Lorenzen im Auftrag der Steuerungsgruppe der Systematikkooperation übernommen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, durch die kooperative Pflege der Systematiken die anfallende Arbeit auf mehrere Schultern zu verteilen und damit mittelfristig Synergieeffekte zu erzielen. Neben der anstehenden Aktualisierungsarbeit an beiden Systematiken soll künftig aber auch weitergedacht werden: Angestrebt wird eine schrittweise Angleichung von ASB und KAB, sodass langfristig zwei kompatible Systematiken unter Beibehaltung der jeweiligen Notationen entstehen. Ein erstes Update für ausgewählte, besonders dringlich anstehende Gruppen der ASB ist für Anfang 2012 geplant: So befinden sich derzeit die Gruppen Z, 0, H in der Bearbeitung. Der Arbeitsplan sieht vor, danach die Gruppen E, N, P, U, und We in Angriff zu nehmen. Weiterer Überarbeitungsbedarf aus Sicht der Fachöffentlichkeit kann gerne an den Vorsitzenden gerichtet werden.
    Einbindung der Berufspraxis Die intensive Einbindung der Berufspraxis ist bei diesem anspruchsvollen und in hohem Maße praxisrelevanten Thema ein zentrales Anliegen der Partner. Sie erfolgt in erster Linie durch die Expertinnengruppe, aber zum anderen auch durch die Einbindung sogenannter »Referenzbibliotheken«. Diese begleiten die Arbeit der Expertinnen und sind Diskussionsund Sparringspartnerinnen. Ihre Aufgabe ist es zum Beispiel, Differenzierungsbedarf bei zu stark belegten Untergruppen, Löschbedarf von Untergruppen, Aktualisierungen, aber auch den Wunsch nach umfassenderen Änderungen zu melden. Darüber hinaus werden ihnen Lösungsvorschläge der Expertinnen zur Kommentierung vorgelegt. Damit sollen weiterer Sachverstand und praktische Erfahrungen in die Arbeit einfließen und diese auf eine noch breitere Basis gestellt werden. Als Referenzbibliotheken arbeiten die Stadtbibliotheken in Bremerhaven, Heilbronn, Ludwigshafen und Mönchengladbach aktiv am Projekt mit. Um die Arbeit in der Expertinnengruppe möglichst effizient zu gestalten, wird verstärkt auf Online-Kommunikation gesetzt. Dazu wird von der ekz über eine Online-Plattform ein Wiki bereitgestellt und betrieben. In diesem sind die beiden Systematiken hinterlegt, ebenso werden dort die anstehenden Aktualisierungen in der Expertinnengruppe abgestimmt. Dies reduziert zum einen den Zeitaufwand durch Sitzungen für die Expertinnen, zum anderen erfolgt damit die Dokumentation der Arbeit. Unterstützt wird diese Arbeit von der Steuerungsgruppe der Systematikkooperation mit Vertretern von BIB, dbv und ekz, die in enger Abstimmung mit der Expertengruppe Grundsatzfragen und die Projektplanung klärt."

    "Seit 2009 wird die Systematik für Bibliotheken (SfB) in jährlichen Updates unter www.sfb-online.de veröffentlicht. Für das Update 2013 wurde die Fachsystematik »Medizin« überarbeitet und neu strukturiert. Viele für Öffentliche Bibliotheken nicht mehr relevante Stellen wurden gestrichen, wie zum Beispiel die Raumfahrtmedizin, andere, wie zum Beispiel die für Ambulante Hilfs- und Pflegedienste, ergänzt. Die Zusatzvereinbarung für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur wurden um die Bereiche Fantasy und Krimi erweitert. Die gesamte aktualisierte SfB sowie Ansprechpartner für Fragen, Anregungen und Kritik sind unter www.sfb-online.de zu finden. Die SfB wird in Kooperation von der Büchereizentrale Schleswig Holstein, der Stadtbibliothek Bremen, der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt am Main und der Stadtbibliothek Hannover gepflegt.     Abstract
    Vor drei Jahren beschloss die Steuerungsgruppe »Systematikkooperation« mit Vertretern des Deutschen Bibliotheksverbandes (dbv), des Berufsverbands Information Bibliothek (BIB) und der ekz.bibliotheksservice GmbH (siehe auch BuB Heft 7/8-2011, Seite 511) die Aktualisierungen der ASB und der KAB auf neue Grundlagen zu stellen. Hintergrund war, dass mit der Auflösung des Deutschen Bibliotheksinstitutes die Systematikpflege für die bereits weitgehend aktualisierte KAB zunächst noch mit einem Werkvertrag fortgeführt werden konnte, aber dann für beide Systematiken zum Erliegen kam.

    Abstract
    Elf Jahre nach Erscheinender letzten Ausgabe der insbesondere in den Öffentlichen Bibliotheken der »neuen« Länder angewandten »Klassifikation für Allgemeinbibliotheken« hat der Bock+ Herchen Verlag (info@bock-net.de) im Dezember 2004 eine neue, von Kathrin Lehmann und Dagmar Weber-Tamschick bearbeitete, zweibändige Ausgabe der KAB/E vorgelegt.
