- Abstract
- Der Beitrag beschreibt die Umstellung der Lehre vom bisherigen Katalogisierungsregelwerk RAK auf den neuen Standard RDA im Studiengang Bibliotheksund Informationsmanagement an der Stuttgarter Hochschule der Medien (HdM). Schon seit langem wurden Informationen zu RDA in den Unterricht integriert. Seit 2014/15 beginnen die Studienanfänger mit RDA; für die "Umsteiger", die noch mit RAK begonnen hatten, gibt es besondere Angebote. Das zugrundeliegende FRBR-Modell stellt die Studierenden kaum vor Probleme. Jedoch lassen sich viele Aspekte von RDA in realen Erfassungsformaten nur schwer erkennen, weshalb im Unterricht teilweise mit formatfreien Katalogisaten in tabellarischer Form gearbeitet wird. Anders als RAK bietet RDA den Katalogisierern viele Ermessensspielraume, worauf man sich im Unterricht einstellen muss. Die älteren Standards RAK und ISBD spielen in der Lehre nur noch eine untergeordnete Rolle.

- Abstract
- Es wird ein Überblick gegeben, wie sich die Veränderungen sich im Bereich der Informationsverarbeitung und -technik auf die Gestaltung von Studienkonzepten im Bereich Wissensorganisation und Information Retrieval in deutschen bibliothekarischen Ausbildungseinrichtungen ausgewirkt haben. Dabei wird unterschieden in Bereiche der Veränderungen und in Bereiche der Stabilität. Die Bereiche der Veränderungen lassen sich den Verfahren und Anwendungen in der Praxis zuordnen. Sie sind zum einen geprägt durch eine integrative Sicht auf Indexierung und Information Retrieval und lassen sich zum anderen durch folgende Trends charakterisieren: - Von Katalogen zu OPACs und WebOPACs - Von der Katalogisierung zum intelligenten Information Retrieval und Suchmaschinen mit benutzerfreundlichen Interaktionsschnittstellen - Vom lokalen Katalog zum kooperativen Erschließen und Retrieval in heterogenen Netzen - Von intellektueller zu automatischer Indexierung - Von Regelwerken zu strukturierten Beschreibungsebenen (z.B. - Abstract
- Immer mehr wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken, insbesondere Hochschulbibliotheken, erweitern ihre E-Learningangebote um sogenannte Online-Tutorials. Solche interaktiven, multi-medialen Lernprogramme bieten den Nutzern die Möglichkeit, sich zeit- und ortsunabhängig selbständig grundlegende Themen der Bibliotheks- und Informationskompetenz anzueignen. In der bibliothekarischen Fachliteratur finden sich aber keine Aussagen darüber, in welchem Umfang und wie lerneffektiv diese - meist mit hohem Aufwand erstellte - Angebote tatsächlich genutzt werden. Um die Lernwirksamkeit überprüfen zu können, bedarf es Online-Tutorials, die über einen automatisierten elektronischen Test verfügen, anhand dessen Nutzer eigenständig den Erwerb der Lerninhalte kontrollieren können. Die vorliegende Arbeit versteht sich als ein Beitrag zur Konzeption evaluierbarer Online-Tutorials. Skizziert wird eine strukturierte Vorgehensweise zur Umsetzung von Tutorials, die statistisch auswertbare Daten zur Lerneffektivität generieren. Im Fokus stehen hierbei didaktische Bedingungen automatisierter Lernerfolgskontrollen und deren Umsetzung anhand sogenannter geschlossener Aufgaben. Da sich mit diesem Aufgabentypus nur bestimmte kognitive Leistungsbereiche messen lassen, ist im Vorfeld zu prüfen, dass ein Tutorial nur Lerninhalte vermittelt, deren Erwerb anschließend auch mit geschlossenen Aufgaben überprüft werden kann. Unter Rückgriff auf eine spezifische E-Learning-Taxonomie wird offensichtlich, dass mindestens Reproduktions-, Verständnis- und Anwendungsleistungen umsetzbar sind. Wie entsprechende Aufgabenstellungen in bibliothekarischen Online-Tutorials aussehen können, wird an Beispielfragen zur Überprüfung von Fakten-, Konzept- und Prozedurenwissen demonstriert.

- Abstract
- Der Beitrag stellt Ergebnisse der Fachgruppe Informationskompetenz der KIBA vor, in der alle Lehrenden im Bereich der Vermittlung von Medien- und Informationskompetenz an bibliotheks- und informationswissenschaftlichen Studiengängen in Deutschland zusammenarbeiten. Ausgangspunkt ist das "Framework Informationskompetenz", ein Anforderungsrahmen, der gemeinsame Standards in der Qualifikation von Studierenden der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft für das Aufgabenfeld der Förderung von Informationskompetenz sichern soll. Es wird aufgezeigt, wie die in diesem Rahmenmodell formulierten Qualifikationsstandards in den verschiedenen Studiengängen umgesetzt werden und wo es bedarfsbezogene Ausprägung und Gewichtung in den Qualifikationszielen gibt.

- Abstract
- Die Fachrichtung Informationswissenschaft ist mit wenigen Worten nicht zu erklären. Diese vermeintliche Schwäche ist im Grunde jedoch eine Stärke: Die Studierenden bekommen eine solide Grundlagenausbildung mit technologischem Fokus und sind vielfältig einsetzbar. Das Fach selbst kann und muss regelmäßig seine Inhalte überarbeiten und an die Erfordernisse aus Gesellschaft und Arbeitswelt anpassen. Neben den Grundlagen stehen innovative forschungsorientierte und projektbasierte Lehrinhalte.

- Abstract
- Seit dem Sommersemester 2003 bietet die Fachhochschule Köln den Bachelor-Studiengang Online-Redakteur an. Die Regelstudienzeit beträgt sechs Semester, nach erfolgreichem Abschluss wird den Studierenden der Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) verliehen. Der Studiengang kombiniert die Bereiche Journalistik, Informationswissenschaft, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Web-Design. Im Februar 2005 ging die Website www.koeln-sued-stadt.de online, ein umfangreiches Content-Projekt das die 30 Studierenden im vierten Semester gemeinsam durchführten. Hier zeigte sich, dass Online Redakteure zur Realisierung einer Website unterschiedliche Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Konzeption, Visualisierung, technische Umsetzung und inhaltliche Gestaltung anwenden und kombinieren müssen. Der Schwerpunkt des Südstadt-Projektes lag dabei auf der Erstellung von Content, also der Recherche und der journalistischen Aufbereitung von Informationen für das Web.
