    Abstract
    This paper proposes a framework for analyzing management processes of inter-firm competence. Effective and efficient management of inter-firm competence is suggested to depend an a balance between knowledge systems and enabling information technologies. Knowledge processes comprise processes to collect, generate, diffuse, utilize and dispose knowledge. Managing these processes in an inter-firm environment poses some new challenges both to knowledge and information system development as well.

    Abstract
    In dem Maße, in dem Unternehmen ihren Erfolg in einem zunehmend von Konkurrenz geprägten Weltmarkt suchen, ist ds Content Management als Informationslösung interessant geworden. Content Management-Systeme können dabei helfen, die enormen betrieblichen Investitionen in die Information zu verringern. Wie bei jeder neuartigen Technologie bestehen auch hier noch keine klaren Vorstellungen darüber, was ContentnManagement eigentlich ausmacht. In diesem Beitrag werden die Probleme und Technologien im Zusammenhang mit dem Content Management untersucht und der aktuelle Stand in Sachen Content Management beschrieben. Content Management ist mehr als nur eine neue Technologie.     Abstract
    Der Begriff Information Management taucht in der Literatur schon seit etwa 10 Jahren auf. Über seine Umschreibung bzw. Definition herrscht heute noch Uneinigkeit, weil durch die rasche technische Entwicklung bedingt eine klare Festschreibung nicht möglich ist. Trotzdem zeigt der evolutionäre Ausbau der Informationsverarbeitung generell eine Tendenz hin zum Information Management. Denn die durch die stetige Weiterentwicklung der elektronische Mittel immer komplexer werdende Welt der Information und Kommunikation verlangt ein übergeordnetes Konzept zur Bewältigung der mannigfachen Anforderungen, die an die Aufbereitung und den Transport der Information gestellt werden. Der Autor hat versucht, aus dem Stoff von 11 willkürlich ausgewählten Arbeiten aus der einschlägigien Literatur ein Bild des Information Management zu zeichnen
