    Abstract
    Mit dem Begriff "Informationskompetenz" ist eine der interdisziplinären Schlüsselqualifikationen bezeichnet, die die im Rahmen des Bolognaprozesses neu konzipierten BA- und MA-Studiengänge ihren Studierenden vermitteln sollen. Die Universitätsbibliotheken als zentrale Informationsdienstleister der Universitäten haben sich in den letzten Jahren dieser Aufgabe verstärkt gewidmet. Auch die UB Stuttgart als Teil des "Netzwerks Informationskompetenz" (NIK) der badenwürttembergischen Landes- und Hochschulbibliotheken widmet sich seit dem vergangenen Jahr in verstärktem Ausmaß diesem Thema. Am 19. Juni 1999 haben die Bildungsminister aus 29 europäischen Staaten in Bolo-gna eine gemeinsame Erklärung zur Vereinheitlichung der europäischen Studiengänge und -abschlüsse verabschiedet, die neben einer besseren Vergleichbarkeit der Leistungen auch eine vereinfachte Anrechnung erbrachter Studienleistungen bei Wechsel der Hochschule oder gar des Landes ermöglichen soll. Im Rahmen des Bologna-Prozesses wurden seitdem in allen Signatarstaaten nationale Reformen eingeleitet, die die Umsetzung dieser Beschlüsse ermöglichen sollen. Dazu werden in den Universitäten die Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen überarbeitet und an die Anforderungen der Bachelor- und Master-Abschlüsse angepasst. Neben den fachlichen Komponenten steht die Ausbildung von fachübergreifenden Schlüsselqualifikationen im Zentrum dieser Revisionarbeit. In zahlreichen Prüfungsordnungen ist die Schlüsselqualifikation Informationskompetenz explizit benannt; die Prüfungsordnung der Universität Stuttgart verlangt - im allgemeinen Teil A - lediglich "[ü]berfachliche berufsfeldorientierte Qualifikationen"; die dann im fachspezifischen Teil B jeweils spezifiziert werden. Andere Universitäten, z.B. Konstanz, haben die Informationskompetenz als Schlüsselqualifikation in ihre Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen aufgenommen und bieten bereits entsprechende Kurse an, die teilweise in Kooperation mit der Bibliothek oder sogar in Eigenverantwortung der Bibliothek abgehalten und als studienrelevante Leistung mit Credit points belohnt werden.
