    Abstract
    Diese erstmals zur Frühjahrstagung der IuK-Initiative herausgegebenen Proceedings bieten zum einen eine Momentaufnahme des Entwicklungsstandes digitaler Bibliotheken in der Bundesrepublik. Zum anderen geben sie den intensiven Diskurs über internetgestützte Techniken in der Kommunikation wissenschaftlicher Gruppen und Gemeinschaften wider; dabei geht es vor allem um die Entwicklung bei den Techniken als solchen, um die Entfaltung neuer Materialtypen, um eine nachhaltige Sicherung des Betriebs von Installationen ("Geschäftsmodelle"), um fachliche Spezifität und Expressivität sowie um Skalierbarkeit im inter- und überdisziplinären Rahmen. Dieser Tagungsband vertieft die Webproceedings, die eine Dokumentation aller Vorträge enthalten und unter www. iwi-iuk. org/iuk2003/ zugänglich sind.

    Abstract
    Nach Abschluß des von der DFG geförderten Projektes 'SSG-Fachinformationssysteme im Internet' legt die Projektgruppe der SUB Göttingen eine ausführliche Dokumentation des Projektkonzeptes vor. Ziel des Projektes war es, ein bibliothekarisches Konzept zu entwickeln, wie Internet-Ressourcen - wobei hierunter nicht einzelne elektronische Dokumente verstanden werden, sondern sog. thematische Server - in das Sammel- und Erschließungskonzept einer wissenschaftlichen Biblithek integriert werden können

    Abstract
    Auch auf die großen wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken kommen dadurch, daß im Internet in zunehmendem Maße fachlich relevante Informationen bereitgestellt werden, neue Aufgaben zu. Der vorliegende Band versammelt 10 Studien, die sich mit unterschiedlichen Aspekten der Bedeutung des Internet für die Germanistik auseinandersetzen.
