    Abstract
    Eine fundierte Untersuchung der Anforderungen an Experimente im Information Retrieval bedarf einer geeigneten Sprache, die es erlaubt, alle relevanten Aspekte adäquat zu beschreiben. Der Beitrag versucht, ein solches Begriffsgerüst zu entwickeln. Als grundlegende Begriffe dienen die 4 Kategorien: experimentelle Faktoren, situative Faktoren; Experimentalobjekte und Beobachtungsvariablen.     Abstract
    Der Beitrag enthält eine Darstellung zur Durchführung und zu den Ergebnissen des Retrievaltests zum AIR/PHYS-Projekt. Er zählt mit seinen 309 Fragen und 15.000 Dokumenten zu den größten Retrievaltests, die bisher zur Evaluierung automatisierter Indexierungs- oder Retrievalverfahren vorgenommen wurden.
