    Abstract
    Um zu gewährleisten, daß die einzelnen sprachlichen Ausdrücke möglichst eindeutig verwendet werden, benötigt man Explikationswörterbücher, gleichgültig ob es sich um eine Sprache oder um eine Nomenklatur handelt. Ein Explikationswörterbuch hat folgende zwei Hauptaufgaben: (a) Zuordnung von Explikationen zu den Ausdrücken der betreffenden Sprache/Nomenklatur mit Hilfe von semantischen Primitiven und/oder einer kanonischen Sprache; (b) Repräsentation dieser Explikationen in einer Form, die es ermöglicht, sie eindeutig und flexibel zu verwenden. Da jedes Explikationswörterbuch (sei es von einer Sprache oder einer Nomenklatur) die Repräsentation eines 'Wissens' ist, muß dieses Wörterbuch dieses Wissen auf Grund eines wohldefinierten Klassifikationssystems repräsentieren
