    Abstract
    Gemeinsame Web-Auftritte zu organisieren, die sich über mehrere Institutionen und Fachgebiete erstrecken, ist eine anspruchsvolle und faszinierende Aufgabe, die auf verschiedene Weise gelingen, aber auch scheitern kann. Wer sich daran versucht, tut gut daran, sich über bestimmte Prinzipien und technische Mittel zu informieren, die das fortgeschrittene Web ihm heute bietet. Das Internet, das World Wide Web und das moderne Web 2.0 sind in einer fast zwanzig Jahre dauernden Kollaboration einer globalen Gemeinschaft von Entwicklern und Anwendern entstanden. Es enthält heute eine Fülle sofort einsetzbarer Komponenten, von der "Benutzerdefinierten Google-Suche Beta" mit Google's PageRanking auf ausgewählten Web-Seiten bis hin zum automatisierten Web-Server mit Content-Management für das "Mitmach-Web". Der Artikel stellt nur eine kleine Auswahl solcher Lösungen vor und macht den Versuch, einige Prinzipien des Web 2.0 so herauszuarbeiten, dass die notwendige Kommunikation zwischen Managern, Technikern, Redakteuren und Organisatoren in der kleinen Kollaboration unterstützt wird. "Kleine Kollaboration" bedeutet hier, dass es nicht um die globale Vernetzung von technischen Großgeräten der e-Science gehen soll, auch nicht um die Super-Suchmaschine in Europa, sondern um die Unterstützung der Zusammenarbeit und Kommunikation von Wissenschaftlern und Experten aus Gedächtnis-Institutionen mit Ihren Nutzern.

    Abstract
    Das World Wide Web (im Folgenden kurz als Web bezeichnet) verwandelt sich seit einigen Jahren von einem Medium der passiven Konsumenten von Inhalten hin zu einem Netz für aktive User, die Weblogs schreiben, in Foren diskutieren oder Podcasts veröffentlichen. Diese User der zweiten Generation gebrauchen das Web zum Gedankenaustausch und knüpfen als Knoten in virtuellen sozialen Netzwerken Beziehungen zu Gleichgesinnten, mit denen sie sich zu virtuellen Communities formieren. Folglich definiert sich die soziale Komponente des Web 2.0 über ein verändertes Verhalten seiner User. Web-2.0-Plattformen sind jedoch vielmehr sozio-technische Artefakte und basieren auf speziellen Anwendungen und Technologien. Erst die technologische Komponente des Web 2.0 ermöglicht, dass die sozialen Prozesse der User unterstützt werden. Der folgende Grundlagenbeitrag stellt wesentliche Anwendungen und Technologien des Web 2.0 vor.

    Abstract
    This research revisits the classic Turing test and compares recent large language models such as ChatGPT for their abilities to reproduce human-level comprehension and compelling text generation. Two task challenges- summary and question answering- prompt ChatGPT to produce original content (98-99%) from a single text entry and sequential questions initially posed by Turing in 1950. We score the original and generated content against the OpenAI GPT-2 Output Detector from 2019, and establish multiple cases where the generated content proves original and undetectable (98%). The question of a machine fooling a human judge recedes in this work relative to the question of "how would one prove it?" The original contribution of the work presents a metric and simple grammatical set for understanding the writing mechanics of chatbots in evaluating their readability and statistical clarity, engagement, delivery, overall quality, and plagiarism risks. While Turing's original prose scores at least 14% below the machine-generated output, whether an algorithm displays hints of Turing's true initial thoughts (the "Lovelace 2.0" test) remains unanswerable.

    Abstract
    Purpose - This paper is the final one in a series which has tried to give an overview of so-called transformational areas of digital library technology. The aim has been to assess how much real transformation these applications can bring about, in terms of creating genuine user benefit and also changing everyday library practice. Design/methodology/approach - The paper provides a summary of some of the legal and ethical issues associated with web 2.0 applications in libraries, associated with a brief retrospective view of some relevant literature. Findings - Although web 2.0 innovations have had a massive impact on the larger World Wide Web, the practical impact on library service delivery has been limited to date. What probably can be termed transformational in the effect of web 2.0 developments on library and information work is their effect on some underlying principles of professional practice. Research limitations/implications - The legal and ethical challenges of incorporating web 2.0 platforms into mainstream institutional service delivery need to be subject to further research, so that the risks associated with these innovations are better understood at the strategic and policy-making level. Practical implications - This paper makes some recommendations about new principles of library and information practice which will help practitioners make better sense of these innovations in their overall information environment. Social implications - The paper puts in context some of the more problematic social impacts of web 2.0 innovations, without denying the undeniable positive contribution of social networking to the sphere of human interactivity. Originality/value - This paper raises some cautionary points about web 2.0 applications without adopting a precautionary approach of total prohibition. However, none of the suggestions or analysis in this piece should be considered to constitute legal advice. If such advice is required, the reader should consult appropriate legal professionals.

    Abstract
    Während in den vergangenen Monaten Themen wie Web 2.0 und Social Software ein erstaunliches Konjunkturhoch erlebt haben, vollzieht sich weitgehend abseits der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung eine technologische Komplementärinnovation. Die wachsende Adaption semantischer Technologien zu Zwecken der strukturierten Erschließung von "Web 2.0 Content", aber auch der Einsatz von Social Software zur kollaborativen Anreicherung von Web Content mit maschinenlesbaren Metadaten sind Ausdruck eines Trends in Richtung "Social Semantic Web". Bezeichnendes Merkmal dieser Entwicklung ist die voranschreitende Konvergenz zwischen Social Software und Semantic Web Technologien. Dieser Beitrag hat das Ziel ein allgemeines Bewusstsein und Verständnis dieser Entwicklung zu schaffen und nähert sich dem Phänomen aus einer nichttechnischen Perspektive.

    Abstract
    Die 10. InetBib-Tagung fand vom 9. bis 11. April in den Räumlichkeiten der neuen Universität in Würzburg und damit zum ersten Mal in Bayern statt. Über 450 Teilnehmer und rund 40 Vorträge bedeuteten eine neue Rekordbeteiligung. InetBib 2.0 - der Name der Tagung war Programm: Diskutiert wurden die Web-2.0-Technologien und deren Einsatz in Bibliotheken sowie ihr Mehrwert für Nutzer und Mitarbeiter. Neben diesen Themen, die auch das Second Life, die Bibliothek 2.0, den Katalog 2.0 sowie den Bibliothekar 2.0 berührten, wurden ebenfalls eher praktische Fragen aus dem Alltag behandelt, wie zum Beispiel das neue Urheberrecht und seine Konsequenzen für den Kopien­versand, die Anforderungen virtueller Studiengänge an Bibliotheken und die Möglichkeiten, Benutzern eBooks anzubieten.

    Abstract
    Content Management Systeme (CMS) sind in vielen Organisationen bereits seit längerer Zeit fester Bestandteil zur Verwaltung und kollaborativen Bearbeitung von Text- und Multimedia-Inhalten. Im Zuge der rasch ansteigenden Fülle an Informationen und somit auch Wissen wird die Überschaubarkeit der Datenbestände jedoch massiv eingeschränkt. Diese und zusätzliche Anforderungen, wie automatisch Datenquellen aus dem World Wide Web (WWW) zu extrahieren, lassen traditionelle CMS immer mehr an ihre Grenzen stoßen. Dieser Beitrag diskutiert die neuen Herausforderungen an traditionelle CMS und bietet Lösungsvorschläge, wie CMS kombiniert mit semantischen Technologien diesen Herausforderungen begegnen können. Die Autoren stellen eine generische Systemarchitektur für Content Management Systeme vor, die einerseits Inhalte für das Semantic Web generieren, andererseits Content aus dem Web 2.0 syndizieren können und bei der Aufbereitung des Content den User mittels semantischer Technologien wie Reasoning oder Informationsextraktion unterstützen. Dabei wird auf Erfahrungen bei der prototypischen Implementierung von semantischer Technologie in ein bestehendes CMS System zurückgegriffen.

    Abstract
    Dieser Beitrag diskutiert die Entwicklungsgeschichte und den Facettenreichtum eines Begriffes, der gleichsam für technologische Innovation, soziale Modernisierung und eine schlaue Marketingstrategie steht. Es zeigt sich, dass die Verortung des Phänomens Web 2.0, gerade aufgrund der Polemik und Polarisierung, die der Begriff hervorgerufen hat, schwieriger ist, als man vermuten mag.     Abstract
    In diesem Artikel geht es darum, was Web 2.0 für die Wissenschaft bedeutet und welchen Nutzen Web 2.0-Dienste für Wissenschaftler haben. Im Rahmen dieses Themas wird eine Studie vorgestellt, bei der Wissenschaftler unterschiedlicher Fachbereiche unter anderem gefragt wurden, welche Web 2.0-Dienste sie kennen und warum sie Web 2.0-Dienste nutzen. Nach einer kurzen Einleitung zu Web 2.0 und dem bisherigen Forschungsstand folgen die Ergebnisse der Studie, die zeigen werden, dass Web 2.0-Dienste bekannt sind und für private Zwecke und zur Unterhaltung genutzt werden, sie sich allerdings noch nicht als Werkzeuge für die Wissenschaft etabliert haben.

    Abstract
    In diesem Beitrag wird gezeigt, wie der Arbeitsplatz der Zukunft aussehen könnte und wo das Semantic Web neue Möglichkeiten eröffnet. Dazu werden Ansätze aus dem Bereich Semantic Web, Knowledge Representation, Desktop-Anwendungen und Visualisierung vorgestellt, die es uns ermöglichen, die bestehenden Daten eines Benutzers neu zu interpretieren und zu verwenden. Dabei bringt die Kombination von Semantic Web und Desktop Computern besondere Vorteile - ein Paradigma, das unter dem Titel Semantic Desktop bekannt ist. Die beschriebenen Möglichkeiten der Applikationsintegration sind aber nicht auf den Desktop beschränkt, sondern können genauso in Web-Anwendungen Verwendung finden.

    Abstract
    Tim Berners-Lee described in Weaving the Web his future vision of the World Wide Web in two parts. In the first one, nowadays called Web 2.0, people collaborate and enrich data together in a shared information space. In the second part, exchanges extend to computers, resulting in a "Semantic Web" (Berners-Lee 2000a, 157). Most historical studies of World Wide Web begin with the American roots of the Internet in ARPANET or follow a historiographical line of post war information revolutionaries, from Vannevar Bush to Tim Berners-Lee. This paper follows an alternative line. At the end of the nineteenth and in the first decades of the twentieth century various European scholars, like Patrick Geddes, Paul Otlet, Otto Neurath, and Wilhelm Ostwald explored the organisation, enrichment and dissemination of knowledge on a global level to come to a peaceful, universal society. We focus on Paul Otlet (1868-1944) who developed a knowledge infrastructure to update information mechanically and manually in collaboratories of scholars. First the Understanding Infrastructure (2007) report, that Paul N. Edwards et al. wrote on behalf of NSF, will be used to position Otlet's knowledge organization in their sketched development from information systems to information internetworks or webs. Secondly, the relevance of Otlet's knowledge infrastructure will be assessed for Web 2.0 and Semantic Web applications for research. The hypothesis will be put forward that the instruments and protocols envisioned by Otlet to enhance collaborative knowledge production, can still be relevant for current conceptualizations of "scientific authority" in data sharing and annotation in Web 2.0 applications and the modeling of the Semantic Web.

    Abstract
    Though practitioners have seen discussions and debates surrounding the Web 2.0 concept for the last few years, we know little of Web users' heterogeneity in the usage of Web 2.0 applications, let alone the factors associated with such heterogeneity. In this article, we propose a Web user's degree of Web 2.0-ness to be measured by the weighted average of the degrees of Web 2.0-ness of the Web sites that he or she has visited. A Web site's degree of Web 2.0-ness in turn is evaluated through a series of binary criteria as to whether the site accommodates popular Web 2.0 applications. Utilizing clickstream data from an online panel coupled with expert scoring for the empirical analysis, we find that a Web user's degree of Web 2.0-ness is positively associated with his or her behavioral volume (measured by the number of page views), behavioral speed (measured by the duration of each page view), and behavioral concentration (measured by the Gini coefficient of page views the user made across Web sites). Furthermore, Web users who are younger and male are found to have a higher degree of Web 2.0-ness.
