Abstract

Die neue Ausgabe der KAB/K ersetzt die im Zentralinstitut für Bibliothekswesen 1986 erschienene 2. Aufl. und die als Vorabdruck in der Publikation 'KAB aktuell' 1990 veröffentlichte überarbeitete Gliederung. An der Entwicklung der aktuellen Fassung der KAB/K haben 15 Kinderbibliotheken mitgewirkt. Verbesserungen gegenüber der Ausgabe von 1990 resultieren zunächst aus der Überabrbeitung der KAB/E; alle relevanten Veränderungen wurden berücksichtigt. Außerdem sind weitere Sachgruppenbezeichnungen altersgerecht formuliert und die erläuternden Klammerzusätze zu den Gliederungsgruppen ausgebaut worden. Das alphabetische Schlagwortregister wurde grundlegend überarbeitet, durch neue Begriffe der Gliederung und Vorschläge der KAB-Anwender erweitert und von überholten Schlagwörtern bereinigt. Es umfaßt jetzt etwa 2.400 Schlagwörter bzw. Schlagwortketten sowie Verweisungen. Der Kommentar enthält einleitend die Geschichte der KAB/K und erläutert die Besonderheiten von Inhalt, Aufbau und Struktur der Gliederung

Abstract

Für jene, die an Geister glauben, an die Zweckhaftigkeit der Natur, an die Lenkung der Geschichte durch einen Weltgeist, die auf magische Therapien schwören - für alle diese Menschen dürfte der Band eine unerhörte Provokation sein. Der Autor (zuletzt BA 9/88) befaßt sich mit Stationen in der wissenschaftlichen und philosophischen Entwicklung, insbesondere mit der von Max Weber konstatierten Entzauberung der Welt und mit Rettungsversuchen des objektiven Sinns.
