    Abstract

    Abstract
    Klassifikation von bibliografischen Einheiten ist für einen systematischen Zugang zu den Beständen einer Bibliothek und deren Aufstellung unumgänglich. Bislang wurde diese Aufgabe von Fachexperten manuell erledigt, sei es individuell nach einer selbst entwickelten Systematik oder kooperativ nach einer gemeinsamen Systematik. In dieser Arbeit wird ein Verfahren zur Automatisierung des Klassifikationsvorgangs vorgestellt. Dabei kommt das Verfahren des fallbasierten Schließens zum Einsatz, das im Kontext der Forschung zur künstlichen Intelligenz entwickelt wurde. Das Verfahren liefert für jedes Werk, für das bibliografische Daten vorliegen, eine oder mehrere mögliche Klassifikationen. In Experimenten werden die Ergebnisse der automatischen Klassifikation mit der durch Fachexperten verglichen. Diese Experimente belegen die hohe Qualität der automatischen Klassifikation und dass das Verfahren geeignet ist, Fachexperten bei der Klassifikationsarbeit signifikant zu entlasten. Auch die nahezu vollständige Resystematisierung eines Bibliothekskataloges ist - mit gewissen Abstrichen - möglich.

    Abstract
    Auf der VLBPlus-CD-ROM ist seit einiger Zeit nicht nur eine Erschließung nach Stich- und Schlagwörtern sowie nach ca. 66 Sachgruppen, sondern auch nach einer differenzierten Klassifikation enthalten (Warengruppen-Systematik). Diese Klassifikation mit rund 1.000 Klassen wird auf dem Hintergrund der bibliothekarischen Beschäftigung mit dem Thema Sacherschließung in den Zusammenhang der Erschließung durch Klassifikationen versus verbaler Sacherschließung gestellt. Es folgt eine strukturelle Analyse sowie eine Untersuchung ihrer Funktion für den Buchhandel sowie hinsichtlich möglicher Anwendungen in Bibliotheken. Freilich leidet die gegenwärtige Anwendung auf der VLB-CD-ROM unter erheblichen Mängeln, vor allem unter einer konsequent inkonsistenten Anwendung, die in Teilen an eine beliebige Zuordnung zu Bündeln von Klassen erinnert, so dass etliche Einzelklassen ihre Funktion zu verlieren drohen. Die Mängel werden an Beispielen aufgezeigt und die Ursachen benannt, z.B. fehlende Definitionen von Klasseninhalten. Lösungswege bis hin zu Verfahren der automatischen Klassifikation werden angesprochen.

    Abstract
    Die Qualität der Auskünfte in einem Call-Center des Typus Informationshotline wird gewährleistet durch die zentrale Bereitstellung von Informationen zu Produkten und Dienstleistungen eines Unternehmens. Dies kann in Form von Datenbanken, wie die in dieser Arbeit analysierten Kundentelefon-Wissensdatenbank der Deutschen Post AG (KT-WEB), realisiert werden. Damit die Call-Center-Mitarbeiter präzise, schnell und zuverlässig auf die im Kundengespräch relevanten Informationen zugreifen können, müssen die Informationen inhaltlich entsprechend erschlossen sein. Für KT-WEB wird dazu ein Konzept zur Optimierung der inhaltlichen Erschließung und Suche entwickelt, das über die bisher eingesetzten Erschließungsmethoden, Systematik und Volltexterschließung, hinaus geht: eine Erschließung mit facettierten Schlagwörtern.
