- Abstract
- In dem Maße, in dem Unternehmen ihren Erfolg in einem zunehmend von Konkurrenz geprägten Weltmarkt suchen, ist ds Content Management als Informationslösung interessant geworden. Content Management-Systeme können dabei helfen, die enormen betrieblichen Investitionen in die Information zu verringern. Wie bei jeder neuartigen Technologie bestehen auch hier noch keine klaren Vorstellungen darüber, was ContentnManagement eigentlich ausmacht. In diesem Beitrag werden die Probleme und Technologien im Zusammenhang mit dem Content Management untersucht und der aktuelle Stand in Sachen Content Management beschrieben. Content Management ist mehr als nur eine neue Technologie. - Zu den großen Schlagworten unserer Zeit gehört Multimedia. Gleichzeitig ist kein Bereich der Informationstechnologien so starken Veränderungen unterworfen, sei es durch neue Hardware oder durch neue Software. Dabei hat die Entwicklung inzwischen ein Niveau erreicht, das den breiten Einsatz in und für Unternehmen fast zwangsläufig erscheinen läßt. - Abstract
- Die Informationstechnik (IT) ist für die Bundesregierung neben der Gentechnik der aktuell wichtigste Bereich staatlicher Forschungsförderung in der Bundesrepublik. Um auf diese 'strategische Herausforderung für die staatliche Forschungspolitik' angemessen zu reagiern, hat sie mit dem Petersberger Kreis und dem Rat für Forschung, Technologie und Innovation zwei handverlesene Kreise vornehmlich aus Politik und Wirtschaft damit beauftragt, Handlungsempfehlungen zu erarbeiten. - Abstract
- Information, sowie die Bildung neuen Wissens durch die Mitabeiter bestimmen die Positionierung eines Unternehmens im Wettbewerb. Im Zuge der Globalisierung ist aber kein Unternehmen, das eine kritische Größe überschreitet, mehr in der Lage, ausnahmslos durch Individuen relevante Information aufzunehmen, zu filtern, zu verknüpfen und anderen in Form organisatorischen Wissen gleichzeitig, überall auf der Welt, aktuell zugänglich zu machen. Hier liegt aber das strategische Potential von transnationalen Informations- und Kommunikationssystemen (TIKS) sowie der zukünftigen Weiterentwicklung von Wissensmanagementsystemen als Informations- und Wissensdrehscheibe einer neuen Netzwerkorganisation. Im folgenden soll ein ganzheitlicher Wissensmanagementansatz diskutiert werden, welcher den Mitarbeiter als Wissensträger in den Mittelpunkt stellt und gleichsam die Komponenten Technologie, qualifizierung, Organisation und Strategie umfaßt

- Abstract
- Während in den 80er und zu Beginn der 90er Jahre Überwachungsverfahren und die Verletzlichkeit der vernetzten Informationsgesellschaft Gegenstand alternativer Technikkritik waren, scheinen die damit verbundenen Gefahren mit der Verbreitung des Internet weitgehend verflogen zu sein. Zumindest findet ein diesbezüglicher Diskurs kaum statt, und auch Kritiker sind zu begeisterten Nutzern geworden. Interessanterweise ist jedoch gerade das Internet ein in mancher Hinsicht unsicheres und datenschutzunfreundlicheres Netz als früher kritisierte Netze und Dienste, wie etwa ISDN oder BTX. Das technische Netzkonzept und die Organisationsform seines Betriebs lassen zentral organisierte Grundschutzkonzepte wirkungslos werden, so daß hier viel vom Selbstschutz der Beteiligten abhängt. Diesen zu stärken, wäre ein wichtiges technologie- und gesellschaftspolitisches Ziel der kommenden Jahre
