Dabei bleiben eine Reihe von Desideraten bestehen, etwa zum tatsächlichen Sprachgebrauch in Tagging-Systemen, dem Zusammenhang zwischen Tagverwendung und Systemdesign oder der tatsächlichen Effektivität der tagbasierten Suche. Für die Bewertung z. B. der Retrievaleffektivität der Suche bei Flickr oder YouTube sind aber sicher auch neue Qualitätsmodelle der Inhaltsbewertung erforderlich, weil die Bewertungskriterien der Fachinformation dort nur bedingt greifen."
