- Abstract
- Prism is a retrieval system that provides an online catalogue for a collection of original cartoon drawings at the Univ. of Kent. The article starts with a general discussion of graphical user interfaces for retrieval systems and then describes the Prism sysem itself. Prism is unusual in that it has largely direct manipulation graphical user interface and also in that it stores and displays digitised images of the cartoon drawings along with conventional textual catalogue records
