    Abstract
The CONSER program has been a leader in developing standards for cataloguing electronic resources. Members from several CONSER institutions discuss their experiences with the program's interim guidelines for cataloguing remote access versions of print serials which allow the option of creating separate records for online and print versions, or, alternativley, of identifying the online version on the print record. Examines advantages and disadvantages of each approach from the point of view of the cataloguers as well as public service staff. Also explores long term directions

    Abstract
In October 1997, the CONSER Program will join the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC). Hirons and Schottlaender discuss the developments that led up to the consolidation, the new vision for the combined program as expressed in a set of principles, and the benefits to each program. They also examine the potential for change in CONSER and PCC inherent in the acceptance of the principles.

    Abstract
Discusses the achievements and further goals of the revision of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules to accommodate various aspects of seriality. Focuses on the seriality of integrating resources (loose-leafs, Websites, databases) and explores their similarities to traditional serials as well as their differences, and the reasoning that led to the revised rules. Also analyzes decisions that have not been reached in the implementation of the rules at the time of this writing. Explains the decisions that will impact on both serials and integrating resources, and discusses the challenges that a new category of materials presents to the Program for Cooperative Cataloging's CONSER and BIBCO programs. Asks that readers consider how the seriality of these resources is being accommodated in their individual institutions. Highlights significant changes for serials and discusses the international harmonization effort and how it will benefit libraries in the United States of America.
