- Abstract
- In an attempt to reduce administrative costs a survey was undertaken in 1992 of the opportunities for cooperation in governmant libraries in the Netherlands. The survey concentrated on shared cataloguing and subject indexing of periodical articles. The study showed that subject interests varied to much from library to make cooperation cost-effective. Moreover, as too few records were likely to be obtained from the Dutch online union catalogue it was decided that a cooperative network was not feasible
