    Abstract
    Nach einer kurzen Darstellung der Entstehungsgeschichte und der Grundideen, nach denen die ZDB aufgebaut wurde und die sie noch heute bestimmen, beschreibt der Beitrag ausführlicher die derzeitige Situation der ZDB unter den drei Gesichtspunkten des Verbundsystems, der zugrundeliegenden Datenbank und der Produkte aus dieser Datenbank für die Endnutzer. Anschließend werden unter ,Perspektiven' Fragen des inhaltlichen Ausbaus der ZDB, der besonderen Anforderungen durch die elektronischen Zeitschriften, der Verbesserung der Online-Kommunikation, der Anbindung von Aufsatz-Datenbanken und einige weitere Aufgaben behandelt.

    Abstract
    Der Beitrag informiert über die neue Datenbank "Bibliotheken in Österreich - Adressen von Informationseinrichtungen". Im einzelnen werden folgende Punkte behandelt: Die Genese der Datenbank aus zwei unterschiedlich strukturierten Datenquellen; das verwendete Datenformat bzw. die entsprechenden Datenelemente, insbesondere im Hinblick auf vorgenommene Modifikationen des provisorischen MAB-ADRESS-Standards; die Zusammenführung, Vereinheitlichung und Aktualisierung der Daten; einige Aspekte der Parametrisierung unter Aleph 500; die implementierten Update-Möglichkeiten für die Bibliotheken des Österreichischen Verbundes bzw. jene für sonstige Einrichtungen; die Eingabe- und Web-Interfaces mit ihren Suchmöglichkeiten und Anzeigeoptionen. Abschließend wird auf künftige Perspektiven wie die weitere Komplettierung / Aktualisierung sowie die Verbesserung des sachlichen Zugriffs Bezug genommen.

    Abstract
    Hochschulbibliografien sammeln, erfassen und erschließen möglichst alle laufenden Publikationen der Angehörigen einer Hochschule. Bis vor einigen Jahren gab es diese Literaturverzeichnisse nur in gedruckter Form mit jährlicher oder halbjährlicher Erscheinungsweise. Inzwischen erscheinen sie zunehmend als Online-Datenbank und werden teilweise auch webbasiert erfasst. Neben Erscheinungsformen ändern sich auch die Anforderungen an Hochschulbibliografien: Sie dienen nicht mehr nur als reine Verzeichnisse ausgewählter Publikationen, sondern bilden eine zentrale Datenbank möglichst aller im Rahmen der Hochschule erschienenen Veröffentlichungen, auf deren Grundlage verschiedene Statistiken, Übersichten und Evaluationen erstellt werden können. Hochschulbibliografien befinden sich also derzeit im Umbruch und viele Hochschulen bzw. Hochschulbibliotheken stehen vor der Einführung einer eigenen Bibliografie. Als Überblick über den aktuellen Stand der Entwicklung soll an dieser Stelle eine kurze, vergleichende Bestandsaufnahme von Hochschulbibliografien an deutschen Hochschulen gegeben werden.
