    Abstract
    Nach einem allgemeinen Überblick über den geographischen Informationsgehalt der Datenbanken SOLIS und FORIS des IZ Sozialwissenschaften werden einige Fragestellungen genannt, bei denen die Suche nach bzw. Auswertung von räumlichen Informationen bedeutsam sein kann. Anschließend wird beispielhaft die Regionalität von Sozialforschung anhand von Analysen der Datenbank FORIS näher diskutiert
