    Abstract
    Attempts to assess the impact and relevance of the Electronic Libraries Programme (eLib), initiated by the Follett Report on the future of libraries in the UK. Identifies some of the main characteristics of the programme and attempts to assess the impact of the different groups of projects within it, including electronic journals, electronic short loan, access to network resources and electronic document delivery.
