- Abstract
- Until comparatively recently archive collections in local and provincial authorities in Belgium were largely concerned with preserving the output of official organisations. As a result the transactions of local societies, including political organisations, are lacking in such collections. Because of its role as the first political party in the country the Liberal Party's headquarters in Antwerp contains a range of material and national significance. A scheme has been devised to arrange the archive, which may prove useful for other collections
