Abstract

Multimediale Informationssysteme (MMIS) verwalten sowohl formatierte Daten als auch multimediale Dokumente und Regeln oder logische Formeln. Im Gegensatz zu Faktendatenbanken kann dabei die Repräsentation der zu verwaltenden Objekte nicht mehr als korrekt und vollständig angenommen werden. Dementsprechend wird die Beantwortung von Anfragen an solche Systeme als unsichere Inferenz aufgefaßt. Es wird aufgezeigt, wie das dazu benötigte unsicher Wissen durch Lernverfahren aus Relevance-Feedback-Daten gewonnen werden kann. Sowohl diese Unsicherheit als auch die interaktive Nutzung von MMIS erfordern zusätzliche Anfragefunktionen wie Frageformulierungshilfen, Browsing, Ranking, Zooming und Relevance Feedback
