- Abstract
- Unser Projekt soll eine Kreuzkonkordanz zwischen den Universalklassifikationen wie der "Regensburger Verbundsklassifikation (RVK)" und der "Basisklassifikation (BK)" sowie den Fachklassifikationen "Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC2010)" und "Physics and Astronomy Classification Scheme (PACS2010)" in den Fachgebieten Mathematik und Physik herstellen. Fazit: "Die klassifikatorische Übereinstmmung zwischen Regensburger Verbundklassifikation und Physics and Astronomy Classification Scheme war in einzelnen Fachbereichen (z. B. Kernphysik) recht gut. Doch andere Fachbereiche (z.B. Polymerphysik, Mineralogie) stimmten sehr wenig überein. Insgesamt konnten wir 890 einfache Verbindungen erstellen. Mehrfachverbindungen wurden aus technischen Gründen nicht mitgezählt. Das Projekt war insgesamt sehr umfangreich, daher konnte es im Rahmen der zwanzig Projekttage nicht erschöpfend behandelt werden. Eine Weiterentwicklung, insbesondere hinsichtlich des kollektiven Zuganges in Form eines Webformulars und der automatischen Klassifizierung erscheint jedoch sinnvoll."

- Abstract
- Die Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken bieten einen fachspezifischen Zugriff auf wissenschaftsrelevante Informationen. Sie reagieren damit auf die unüberschaubare - weil unstrukturierte - Informationsfülle im Internet. Gefördert wird der Aufbau Virtueller Fachbibliotheken durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG im Rahmen des Förderprogramms "Elektronische Publikationen im Literatur- und Informationsangebot wissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken". Unter dem Namen VASCODA werden die Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken zusammen mit den vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung BMBF geförderten Informationsverbünden wie z.B. Getlnfo ein gemeinsames Portal für Fachinformation in Deutschland bilden. Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Physik: Aufgabe der Virtuellen Fachbibliothek Physik ViFaPhys ist es also, einen integrierten Zugang zu physikrelevanten Informationen und Dienstleistungen zu bieten. Aufgrund ihrer Funktion als Deutsche Zentrale Fachbibliothek für Physik koordiniert die Technische Informationsbibliothek Hannover den Aufbau der Virtuellen Fachbibliothek Physik. Sie stützt sich hierbei auf Erfahrungen, die bereits beim Aufbau der Virtuellen Fachbibliothek Technik gesammelt werden konnten.

Die Neurowissenschaften machen jedoch in jüngster Zeit zunehmend Fortschritte bei der Beantwortung dieser - auch für unser gesamtes Selbstverständnis - grundlegenden Frage. Dabei spielen Untersuchungsmethoden aus der Physik und der Einsatz modernster Computertechnologie eine immer wichtigere Rolle. Welche Chancen eröffnen sich, wenn wir besser verstehen, wie im Gehirn Wahrnehmung, Informationsverarbeitung und Kreativität stattfinden? Diese Frage steht im Zentrum der Futur-Leitvision "Das Denken verstehen". Das bereits in der Anfangsphase von Futur entstandene Thema wurde zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt des Prozeses wieder aufgegriffen und aufgrund der erheblichen Bedeutung, die das Thema für die Lernforschung, den Gesundheitsbereich und die technische Informationsverarbeitung (einschließlich der Robotik) hat, zur Leitvision weiterentwickelt.
