    Abstract
The major attractions of building a Web based reference information system are described: software is virtually 'free'; required training is minimal; systems can be accessed by a variety of platforms; and reference librarians around the world are able to share their expertise. Discusses these points in the context of the evolution of reference information file systems and describes a prototype to show how to construct a basic Web based system

    Abstract
The deployment of campus computer networks, combined with the evolution of tools like Gopher and WWW, have made it possible for universities to make available online versions of documents traditionally offered in paper form. The term 'campus-wide information system' or CWIS refers to a system that brings together online documents and ways to access campus computing resources under a single comprehensive umbrella. Describes the origins of the CWIS concept, listing pioneering CWIS sites in the US. Offers advice on building a CWIS including: choosing a platform; the root menu and organization of documents; types of information to offer and documenting the documents

    Abstract
The WWW represents the final step in the evolution of the Internet and is a tool with many practical applications for library training. 2 such WWW applications are discussed in light of projects undertaken in the Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library at Southern California University. The WWW may be used as a resource in the library as a source of content which must be taught and should be presented to users along with the same information literacy skills which must accompany any resource. The WWW may be used as a publishing tool where the content is created according to the particular instructional need or situation. This usage involves the technology of the WWW rather than its content

    Abstract
The Integrated Information Center Project at the University of Minnesota is a three-year federally funded project whose purpose is to implement and evaluate a model for integrating information delivery in a networked campus environment. This concept of an integrated information center envisioned an organizational entity which employed a variety of information technologies to capture, integrate, and provide scholarly and administrative information resources to faculty and staff at the departmental level. The Integrated Information Center was viewed as an intermediary organization between the department served and the various campus information systems responsible for delivering scholarly and administrative information. Describes the implementation of the integrated information centre and discusses the organizational forces that both shaped its evolution and affected its mission
