    Abstract
    Die technischen Veränderungen in der beruflichen Arbeit der Dokumentare und die Tendenzen zur Ausweitung des Fachs Dokumentation werden beschrieben und bewertet. Um die Dokumentation eigenständig und damit stabil zu positionieren, wird für eine Rückbesinnung auf den Kern des Faches argumentiert. Dieser Kern besteht aus den 4 Gegenständen: Wissen, Texte, Benennungen, Begriffe sowie aus bestimmten Beziehungen zwischen diesen Gegenständen. Das Fachwissen konzentriert sich auf die formalen und thematischen Einheiten der kommunizierten Inhalte. Es geht vor allem um Indexieren, Ordnen und um die Aufgabe, über Relevenaz zu entscheiden. Auf das fachliche und technische Potential in diesem komplexen Kerngebiet und auf die Notwendigkeit, die fachspezifischen Methoden zu verbessern, wird hingewiesen

    Abstract
    Unter Visualisierung wird hier die planende Gestaltung und zeichnerische Realisierung eines Bildes nach einer sprachlich vermittelten Vorgabe eines Themas verstanden. Der Beitrag grenzt diese Aufgabenstellung von anderen Ausgangssituationen beim Zeichnen ab. Im Hauptteil dieser Arbeit wird ein kognitives Modell des Visualisierungsprozesses entworfen. Dabei werden verschiedene Phasen von der Erkennung der Vorgabe bis zur visuellen Wahrnehmung der schon soweit realisierten Zeichnung unterschieden. Aus einer begrifflichen Repräsentation des Themas entsteht über Erinnerungsbilder und Vorstellungsbilder das innere Bild der Zeichnung. Mit der Beschreibung des Modells werden grundlegende Fragen nach dem Zusammenwirken von begrifflichen und bildhaften Repräsentationen aufgeworfen und diskutiert.

    Abstract
    Concept systems are not only used in the sciences, but also in secondary supporting fields, e.g. in libraries, in documentation, in terminology and increasingly also in knowledge representation. It is suggested that the development of concept systems be based on semantic analysis. Methodical steps are described. The principle of morpho-syntactic composition in semantics will serve as a theoretical basis for the suggested method. The implications and limitations of this principle will be demonstrated
