    Abstract
    Die neue internationale Thesaurus-Norm ISO 25964-1 ersetzt die Normen ISO 2788 und ISO 5964. Ihr englischer Titel lautet "Information and documentation - Thesauri and interoperability with other vocabularies - Part 1: Thesauri for information retrieval". Die Norm umfasst ein- und mehrsprachige Thesauri und berück sichtigt die Notwendigkeit von Datenaustausch, Vernetzung und Interoperabilität.     Abstract
    The Nuovo soggettario, the official Italian subject indexing system edited by the National Central Library of Florence, is made up of interactive components, the core of which is a general thesaurus and some rules of a conventional syntax for subject string construction. The Nuovo soggettario Thesaurus is in compliance with ISO 25964: 2011-2013, IFLA LRM, and FAIR principle (findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability). Its open data are available in the Zthes, MARC21, and in SKOS formats and allow for interoperability with l library, archive, and museum databases. The Thesaurus's macrostructure is organized into four fundamental macro-categories, thirteen categories, and facets. The facets allow for the orderly development of hierarchies, thereby limiting polyhierarchies and promoting the grouping of homogenous concepts. This paper addresses the main features and peculiarities which have characterized the consistent development of this categorical structure and its effects on the syntactic sphere in a predominantly pre-coordinated usage context.

    Abstract
    This paper describes a proposal for a new approach to thesaurus design and construction that could have significant implicantions for change in the way multilingual thesauri are handled and integrated with each other. The formula presented here has its origin in the work of the German Thesaurus Committee and has had input from a number of scientists and practitioners int he field. The emphasis is on the various types of relationships found among concepts, notiions and universals in languages. These relationships are analysed and refined beyond the approach taken in existing thesauri. This proposal is very much at the discussion stage and the author invites the assistance of interested readers through criticisms, discussion and dialogue. Applications of the proposed thesaurus are included and the major goal of this proposal is to provide the basis for improved desing and integration of multilingual thesauri

    Abstract
    Die verstärkte Diskussion über qualitativ bessere Such- und Erschließungsmethoden im Internet führt auch dazu, dass Thesauri und Klassifikation bei Fachanbietern und im wissenschaftlich-bibliothekarischen Bereich verstärkt wieder Thema und auch Gegenstand von Projekten geworden sind. Solche Konjunkturschwankungen sind ein bekanntes Phänomen, denn schon immer haben fachlich-methodische Instrumente in Zeiten technologischer Schübe schlechte Konjunktur. Wenn die technologischen Machbarkeiten dann kritisch überdacht werden müssen und die Probleme der Qualitätssicherung ins Auge fallen, rückt das Problem der Vermittlung technologischer Verfahren mit sach- und inhaltsbezogenen Anforderungen unweigerlich wieder stärker in den Mittelpunkt des Interesses'. Meine Ausführungen richten sich vor allem auf aktuelle Probleme der Produktion und Wiedergewinnung von Informationen oder präziser: von Fachinformationen, Fragen der Qualitätssicherung und die Rolle, die Klassifikationen und Thesauri in diesem Zusammenhang spielen oder spielen könnten. Insbesondere der Aspekt der Nutzerakzeptanz wird hier stärker thematisiert. Der Punkt nettere Ansätze wird etwas eingehender am Beispiel der Vernetzung verschiedener Thesauri und Klassifikationen mittels sogenannter Cross-Konkordanzen erläutert. Im Folgenden beziehe ich mich vor allem auf die Sozialwissenschaften und insbesondere die Erziehungswissenschaft. Dies ist der fachliche Background des Fachinformationssystem Bildung, und des Deutschen Bildungsservers in deren Kontext ich mit den hier angesprochenen Problemen befasst bin

    Abstract
    Angesichts aktueller und voraussichtlich in naher Zukunft startender Infrastrukturprojekte der Frauen/Gender-Informationseinrichtungen einerseits und der Gender Studies andererseits, soll im Folgenden auf den Sinn und die Notwendigkeit einer gemeinsamen gendersensiblen Dokumentationssprache hingewiesen werden. Dieser Beitrag entstand im Rahmen des Masterstudiums der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaften (MALIS) an der Technischen Hochschule Köln und verfolgt das Ziel, Vorschläge für die Erarbeitung eines Gender Thesaurus zu entwickeln.

    Eutelis Consult ist eines der führenden Beratungsunternehmen auf dem Sektor der Telekommunikation und der Mehrwertdienste. Eutelis Consult erbringt national und international Beratungsdienstleistungen für Anbieter von Telekommunikations- und Mehrwertdiensten, für Netzbetreiber, Hersteller von Vermittlungssystemen und Endgeräten, Anwender und Nutzer von Telekommunikationsdiensten sowie öffentliche Auftraggeber. Weitere Beratungsschwerpunkte von Eutelis Consult konzentrieren sich auf die regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen, Smartcardanwendungen, die Personalberatung sowie auf die Finanzierung junger Unternehmen in diesen Sektoren. Von der für das EUTELIS-interne Content Management verantwortlichen Abteilung wird aktuell ein Telecom Thesaurus erstellt, der der Indexierung aller internen Projektberichte und der dokumentierten externen Materialien dient.     Abstract
    Das Thesaurusprogramm MIDOSThesaurus wird hinsichtlich seiner Funktionalität und Handhabung vorgestellt. Mit MIDOSThesaurus können polyhierarchische, mehrsprachige Thesauri aufgebaut, gepflegt und genutzt werden. MIDOSThesaurus ist kompatibel mit den einschlägigen Internationalen Normen, geht aber in seiner Funktionalität weit über diese Grundanforderungen hinaus. MIDOSThesaurus bietet leistungsfähige Importfunktionen, komfortable Möglichkeiten zur Thesauruspflege und übersichtliche Display- und Navigationsmöglichkeiten. Für den Exportfertiger Thesauri werden neben einer Textausgabe die Ausgabe von weitgehend satzfertigen Druckmanuskripten und die Generierung von internetfähigen HTML-Anwendungen aufKnopfdruck angeboten. Ein Thesaurus-Export im XML-Format ist ebenfalls vorgesehen. MIDOSThesaurus kann als selbstständiges Einzelsystem zur Thesauruspflege benutzt werden. Es kann aber auch über eine Programmschnittstelle, die mit Ouelltext dokumentiert ist, mit anderen Datenbanksystem gekoppelt und so für Recherche und Indexierung genutzt werden.

    Abstract
    Das aktuelle Wissen der Welt im Spiegel einer Weltausstellung: Wie stellt man das dar und wie macht man es Interessierten zugänglich - in der Ausstellung, in Publikationen, im Funk und über das Internet? Was man alles auf einer Weltausstellung an der Schwelle zum dritten Jahrtausend sehen und erfahren kann, sprengt in Fülle und Vielfalt jeden individuell faßbaren Rahmen. Schmitz-Esser zeigt in seinem Buch, wie der Besucher wahlweise in vier Sprachen die Weltausstellung erleben und die Quintessenz davon mitnehmen kann. Ermöglicht wird dies durch das Konzept des virtuellen "Wissens in der Kapsel", das so aufbereitet ist, daß es in allen gängigen medialen Formen und für unterschiedlichste Wege der Aneignung eingesetzt werden kann.
