    Abstract
    Library world is actually facing 2 major changes. The one described by the concept of the Digital or Virtual Library let us already anticipate fundamental changes in the products and services libraries will deliver in the future. At present libraries also must react to important economic changes with phenomena like privatisation, deregulation and globalisation of economic processes which - at least in Germany - have now a growing impact on the library and information business. This situation is a real challenge for library management. But unfortunately new management concepts are hardly found in library literature and practice in Germany. Therefore the article wants to give to the library world some ideas on new management and business concepts like the 'learning organisation' or the 'innovative collaborator'

    Abstract
    Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die Ergebnisse einer Analyse zusammengefasst, in der untersucht wurde, ob, und wenn ja welche Services für das Management von publikationsbezogenen Forschungsdaten gegenwärtig bei wissenschaftlichen Infrastrukturdienstleistern in den Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften bestehen. Die Analyse wurde Mithilfe von Desktop-Research sowie einer Online-Befragung, an der sich 22 von 46 angeschriebenen Institutionen beteiligten, durchgeführt. Untersucht wurden vor allem deutsche und europäische Forschungsdatenzentren, Bibliotheken und Archive. Insbesondere wurde untersucht, ob diese Organisationen extern erzeugte Forschungsdaten, den dazugehörigen Berechnungscode (Syntax) und ggf. genutzte (selbstgeschriebene) Software grundsätzlich speichern und hosten. Weitere Themenfelder waren Metadatenstandards, Persistente Identifikatoren, Verfügbarkeit von Schnittstellen (APIs) und Unterstützung von semantischen Technologien.

    Abstract
    Mit über 1100 Delegierten und 85 Ausstellern stellte die zwölfte Information Online auch 2005 wieder die im Raum Asien und Pazifik größte und renommierteste regionale Fachmesse für den Informationsbereich dar. Alle zwei Jahre veranstaltet der australische Informationsberufe-Verband ALIA in Sydney die Tagung mit Fachreferenten aus Australien, Asien, Europa und USA. An drei bis fünf Tagen kommen hier Bibliothekare und Informationsspezialisten aus Australien und Neuseeland, Indien, Malaysien, Amerika, und Europa zusammen, um sich anhand von Vorträgen, Workshops, einer Fachausstellung und reichlich Gelegenheiten für informelles Networking einen Überblick über den sich rasant entwickelnden Markt des elektronischen Informationsmanagement und der Informationsversorgung zu verschaffen. 60 Referenten und neun Hauptredner (Angela Abell, Kate Andrews, Liesle Capper, Peter Crowe, Prof. Brian Fitzgerald, David Hawking, Mary Lee Kennedy, Hemant Manohar, Joan Frye Williams) lieferten Forschungsergebnisse, Fallstudien, Fortschrifttsberichte und programmatische Thesen aus den Themenbereichen Informationsarchitektur, Online Archive, Content Management Systeme, Urheberrecht und WWW, Web Services für Bibliotheken und Informationsstellen, Benutzungsschemata für Web-Technologien, Schnittstellen, Datenpool, Bibliotheksautomation, Referenzservice online, Metadaten für Informationssysteme und für Organisationen, Wissenschaftliches Publizieren, Open Access, Knowledge Management und intellektuelles Kapital, Benutzerpsychologie, Online lernen, Berufsbild Informationsspezialist. Ein Drittel der Beiträge beschäftigte sich mit Fragen rund um Information beziehungsweise Knowledge Discovery Search, Search und nochmals Search. Dreht sich angesichts der kommerziellen Erfolge von Google und Konsorten denn alles nur noch um die Websuche?

    Abstract
    Cloudbasierte Bibliothekssysteme stellen die neue Generation der Bibliothekssysteme dar. Sie ermöglichen ein gemeinsames Management von Print- und elektronischen Medien. Da in der Hochschulbibliothek der Fachhochschule Münster die elektronischen Ressourcen entscheidend zur Literaturversorgung von Lehrenden und Studierenden beitragen, beschäftigt sich ein Projektteam seit Ende 2014 mit der Evaluation des Systems WorldShare Management Services (WMS) der Firma OCLC. Die ersten Ergebnisse und einige weitere Überlegungen zur Migration des Systems werden in diesem Beitrag vorgestellt.

    Abstract
    Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die Zusammenhänge von Web-Services, Geschäftsprozessen und Semantic Web aus Sicht der Wirtschaftsinformatik. Ausgehend von wirtschaftsinformatischen Konzepten wird auf das Mediationspotential von semantischen Technologien, aktuelle Rahmenwerke zur Umsetzung und erste Ansätze für eine wirtschaftliche Betrachtung der aktuell diskutierten Technologien eingegangen.
