Abstract: Reports results of a series of questionnaire surveys, conducted between Sep 1994 and Sep 1996, to determine: the experiences of students with regard to use of libraries on postgraduate distance learning programmes: arrangements made by course providers for library use; perception by university libraries of their role in distance learning; and ways in which public libraries support distance learning students.
