- Abstract
- Der Begriff Forschungsdaten wird mittlerweile völlig selbstverständlich in verschiedenen Kontexten genutzt, trotzdem ist es schwierig, eine einheitliche und abgestimmte Definition zu finden. In den Leitlinien zum Umgang mit Forschungsdaten der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG 2015) findet sich eine umfassende Beschreibung, welche Forschungsobjekte Gegenstand der wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit sein können und als Forschungsdaten gelten: Forschungsdaten sind eine wesentliche Grundlage für das wissenschaftliche Arbeiten. Die Vielfalt solcher Daten entspricht der Vielfalt unterschiedlicher wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen, Erkenntnisinteressen und Forschungsverfahren. Zu Forschungsdaten zählen u. a. Messdaten, Laborwerte, audiovisuelle Informationen, Texte, Surveydaten, Objekte aus Sammlungen oder Proben, die in der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit entstehen, entwickelt oder ausgewertet werden. Methodische Testverfahren, wie Fragebögen, Software und Simulationen können ebenfalls zentrale Ergebnisse wissenschaftlicher Forschung darstellen und sollten daher ebenfalls unter den Begriff Forschungsdaten gefasst werden.
