- Abstract
- Zehn Jahre sind seit der Erstauflage des vorliegenden Fachthesaurus vergangen. Für das Fachinformationsgebiet gilt weiterhin die Ausgangslage, daß die Luftfahrt in den letzten Jahrzehnten ununterbrochen eine beispiellose Entwicklung genommen und damit vielfältige Wirkungen ausgelöst hat. Zahlreiche nationale und internationale Institutionen, Industrieunternehmen, Einrichtungen der Wissenschaft und Forschung, Verwaltungsstellen und Verkehrsunternehmen sind speziell mit der Bearbeitung von technischen, ökonomischen und ökologischen Problemen dieses Fachgebietes befaßt. Bis zum gegenwärtigen Zeitpunkt sind umfangreiche Erkenntnisse erarbeitet, ist umfangreiches Wissen angesammelt und publiziert worden, so daß man von einer wahren Informationsflut sprechen kann. Dabei wird die technologische Entwicklung auch auf dem Gebiet der Luftfahrt schnell fortschreiten, und dementsprechend werden hohe Zuwachsraten auf dem Publikationssektor kennzeichnend für die kommende Zeit sein. Neue Publikationsmittel werden diesen Trend weiter verstärken. Eine vordringliche Aufgabe besteht deshalb schon heute darin, diese Informationen zu sammeln, aufzuarbeiten und einem interessierten Benutzerkreis möglichst gezielt zu vermitteln. Unter Berücksichtigung von Europa 1992 und der immer noch übermächtigen US-Informationsindustrie wird mit diesem deutschsprachigen Fachthesaurus bewußt ein internationales Informationsangebot benutzerfreundlich aufgelegt; der Datenbankanteil, der originär deutsche Literatur erschließt, soll einer neuen nationalen Luft- und Raumfahrt-Datenbank als Input geliefert werden. Kooperationspartner dort sind Industrieunternehmen und Institutionen der deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrt. Vorhandene Fachdokumentationsstellen müssen deshalb in Zukunft verstärkt solche Aufgaben übernehmen. EineVoraussetzung hierfür sind geeignete Ordnungsmittel. Im vorliegenden Fall ist ein solches in Form des "Fachthesaurus Luftverkehr und Randgebiete" erarbeitet worden. Dieser Fachthesaurus stellt mit seiner Wortsammlung von ca. 5700 Deskriptoren, 2000 Synonymen und 6500 Verweisungen ein fachspezifisches Hilfsmittel der Dokumentation zur Thematik Luftfahrt dar. Er ist das Ergebnis jahrelanger gemeinschaftlicher Entwicklungsarbeit der Fachdokumentationsstelle der Deutschen Lufthansa AG, Köln, sowie der in Verbindung mit dem Institut für Luft- und Raumfahrt, Fachgebiet Flugführung und Luftverkehr, tätigen Fachdokumentationsstelle Luftverkehr der Technischen Universität Berlin, inklusive kontinuierlicher Thesauruspflege mit regelmäßigen, gemeinsamen Arbeitssitzungen.
Der vorliegende Fachthesaurus hat sich als eine wesentliche Grundlage für die Arbeit der auf dem Gebiet des Luftverkehrs tätigen Dokumentationsstellen der Deutschen Lufthansa AG und der Technischen Universität Berlin bewährt. Er eröffnet auch die Möglichkeit, nach einer Modifikation Bestandteil eines Fachthesaurus Verkehr zu werden. Hierfür sind allerdings noch von anderen Verkehrsträgern entsprechende Vorarbeiten zu leisten. Als organisatorischer Rahmen bietet sich dafür der Informations-und Dokumentationsverbund Verkehr (luDVV) unter Federführung des Bundesministeriums für Verkehr an; die Technische Universität Berlin beteiligt sich aktiv am luDVV. Aktuell dürfte von Interesse sein, daß der vorliegende Fachthesaurus auch on-line in der modernen Fenstertechnik am Bildschirmterminal nutzbar ist, seitdem die gemeinsamen Auswertungsergebnisse von den beiden Kooperationspartnern Deutsche Lufthansa AG und Technische Universität Berlin auf einem Lufthansa-Rechner in Köln implementiert sind. Der Benutzer hat dabei die Möglichkeit, auch die hierarchische Struktur und die Verweisbeziehungen der Thesaurusdeskriptoren am Display aufzurufen. Es bleibt zu wünschen, daß eine starke Nutzung dieses Informationssystems die umfangreichen Anstrengungen der Mitarbeiter belohnt.

- "Der Standard-Thesaurus Wirtschaft (STW) war bislang im Online-Angebot von GBI-Genios zugänglich. Seit April 2009 stellt auch die Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschaftswissenschaften (ZBW) den STW in der aktuellen Version 8.04 in Deutsch und Englisch online im Web (http://zbw.eu/stw/) bereit. Per direktem Link gelangt man von dort in die ZBW-Datenbank ECONIS (http://www.econis.eu/). Der Thesaurus ist zur Nutzung im Semantic Web aufbereitet; jeder Deskriptor ist mit einem persistenten Identifier versehen, für dessen langfristige Stabilität die ZBW garantiert. Darüber hinaus wird der STW für die allgemeine nicht-kommerzielle Nutzung unter einer Creative-Commons-Lizenz bereitgestellt. Der Standard-Thesaurus Wirtschaft wurde ursprünglich in den 1990er Jahren unter Förderung des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft von der ZBW gemeinsam mit dem ifo Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (München), dem HWWA Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung und der Gesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaftliche Information (GBI, München) entwickelt. - Der MeSH ist ein polyhierarchisches, konzeptbasiertes Schlagwortregister für biomedizinische Fachbegriffe umfasst das Vokabular, welches in den NLM-Datenbanken, beispielsweise MEDLINE oder PubMed, erscheint. Er wird jährlich aktualisiert von der U. S. National Library of Medicine herausgegeben. Für die deutschsprachige Fassung übersetzt ZB MED dann die jeweils neu hinzugekommenen Terme und ergänzt sie um zusätzliche Synonyme. Erstmalig erstellte ZB MED den Deutschen MeSH im Jahr 2020. Vorher lag die Verantwortung beim Deutschen Institut für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information (DIMDI/BfArM)."

- Abstract
- Die Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschaftswissenschaften - Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft hat im Herbst 2011 die Version 8.08 des Standard-Thesaurus Wirtschaft (STW) veröffentlicht und damit einen weiteren Meilenstein in ihrer Linking-Open-Data-Strategie erreicht. Der STW enthält nun erstmals Verbindungen zu vier weiteren Vokabularen in der Linked Open Data Cloud. Es wurden Kreuzkonkordanzen geschaffen zur Schlagwortnormdatei (SWD), zum Thesaurus Sozialwissenschaften, der alle Disziplinen der Sozialwissen schaften abdeckt und zur Erschließung in den Datenbanken SOFIS und SOLIS genutzt wird, zu AGROVOC, dem mehrsprachigen Thesaurus der FAO - Ernährungs- und Landwirtschafts organisation der Vereinten Nationen für den Bereich der Agrarwissenschaften, Forst wirt schaft, Fischerei, Nahrungsmittel und verwandter Gebiete wie Ernährung und Umwelt, sowie zu DBpedia, einem Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Universität Leipzig, der Freien Universität Berlin und OpenLink Software (Burlington USA), zur Extraktion strukturierte Informationen aus Wikipedia für andere Web-Anwendungen.
