    Abstract
    The rapid growth of the Internet TCP/IP networks has encouraged the deployment of management products based on the Internet's Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). However, many organizations, including most telecommunications service providers, continue to define enterprise management solutions based on ISO/CCITT standard management and underlying Common Management Information Protocol (CMIP).
