- Articles on the Internet and its application to library services now abound in the professional literature. Libraries which do not offer Internet access are depriving their users of access to a vast store of information. As the cost of scientific journals continues to soar the Internet has encouraged the creation of specialist databases, such as the elementary particle physics database at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Publishers charges for online information highlight the vulnerable position of Flemish university libraries
