    Abstract
    Es werden die Grundprobleme der Sacherschließung in Online-Katalogen dargestellt. Ein anschließendes Kapitel behandelt das Verhältnis von verbaler und klassifikatorischer Erschließung. Ein wichtiger Teil der Aussagen betrifft das Gebiet der verbalen Sacherschließung und damit das nationale Regelwerk: Es werden Vorschläge für eine Reform der RSWK im Hinblick auf die Erfordernisse der OPAC unterbreitet. Regelwerk und Normdatei (SWD) bilden dabei eine Einheit und werden zusammen betrachtet. Im vergangenen Jahr wurden die Ergebnisse der Expertengruppe mit dem Schwerpunkt Formalerschließung vorgelegt, nun folgen die Aussagen zur Sacherschließung, welche die Expertengruppe - in veränderter personeller Zusammensetzung unter Leitung von Dr. Friedrich Geißelmann, Regensburg - erarbeitet hat. Die bibliothekarische Öffentlichkeit ist aufgefordert, sich dazu bis zum Jahresende zu äußern. Beide Berichte beziehen sich aufeinander und versuchen, den Zusammenhang zwischen Formal- und Sacherschließung herzustellen. Vom gegenwärtigen Stand der Sacherschließung in deutschen Bibliotheken ausgehend - wozu auch durch die Gruppe im Frühjahr 1993 eine Umfrage in wissenschaftlichen und Öffentlichen Bibliotheken gemacht worden ist, werden die Grundprobleme der Sacherschließung in Online-Katalogen dargestellt. Ein anschließendes Kapitel behandelt das Verhältnis von verbaler und klassifikatorischer Erschließung. Ein wichtiger Teil der Aussagen betrifft das Gebiet der verbalen Sacherschließung und damit das nationale Regelwerk: Es werden Vorschläge für ein Reform der RSWK im Hinblick auf die Erfordernisse des OPAC unterbreitet.
