    Abstract
    This paper surveys library literature on cataloging and classification published in 2007-8, indicating its extent and range in terms of types of literature, major subject areas, and themes. The paper reviews pertinent literature in the following areas: the future of bibliographic control, general cataloging standards and texts, Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), cataloging varied resources, metadata and cataloging in the Web world, classification and subject access, questions of diversity and diverse perspectives, additional reports of practice and research, catalogers' education and careers, keeping current through columns and blogs, and cataloging history.

    Abstract
    Die Deutsche Nationalbibliothek veröffentlicht auf ihrer Website die Aktualisierung 2007 der RAK-Musik-Anlage M 9 "Maßgebliche Werkverzeichnisse und Zählweise der Werke in Einheitssachtiteln" in elektronischer Form <http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:101-2007072726>. Die Aktualisierung steht kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Sie kann doppelseitig ausgedruckt und in die Loseblattausgabe der RAK-Musik-Ausgabe 2003 eingelegt werden. Die mitgelieferten Anlagen M 4c bis 8 und M 10 sind nicht verändert worden und nur aufgrund der Doppelseiten im Umfang enthalten. Über die in der Aktualisierung 2007 umgesetzten Änderungen haben die Musikabteilungen der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin Preußischer Kulturbesitz und der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek München sowie das Deutsche Musikarchiv der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek Einvernehmen erzielt. Der Standardisierungsausschuss hat in einem Umlaufverfahren im November 2007 einer Veröffentlichung und Inkraftsetzung zugestimmt. Für die Aktualisierung 2007 sind neue Werkverzeichnisse von Cajkovskij, Kalliwoda und Scheidt sowie eine neuere Auflage des Werkverzeichnisses von Martinu aufgenommen worden. Die Aktualisierung 2007 ersetzt die Aktualisierung aus dem Vorjahr. Vorschläge für die jährlich geplanten Aktualisierungen dieser Anlage nimmt die Arbeitsstelle für Standardisierung gerne entgegen. Der Aktualisierung 2007 wünschen wir eine gute Aufnahme in der Fachöffentlichkeit.
