- Outlines the meatadata standard known as the Dublin Core, as well as the Instructional Management Systems Projects, an American Educom NLII initiative which is developing a specification and software for managing online learning resources. Gives the list of fields with brief descriptions from the IMS Metadata Dictionary, and describes the UK Performing Arts Data Service (PADS) workshops on moving image and sound resources with particular reference to the use of the Dublin Core for cataloguing sound recordings.
