Abstract

The European Community has funded a project to investigate all aspects of the use of CD-ROM as a vehicle for the dissemination of the bibliographic data of the 7 countries participating in the European Community's National Libraries project on CD-ROM. Reports the results of a sub-project which focused on the potential use of CD-ROMs as a source for downloading catalogue results. Outlines the history of the project and summarises its conclusions.
