    Abstract
    Describes the recent revision of the ISBD for computer files (ISBD(CF)) to take account or rapid changes in this important medium. In addition to setting out the process by which the revision was accomplished and the policies incorporated into the ISBD for electronic resources (ISBD(ER)), a detailed indication of ste stipulations of the ISBD(ER) is provided. Concludes that, with the emergence of this international standard, the next step is for the agencies responsible for national cataloguing codes to update their rules
