    Abstract
    Gruner & Jahr is one of the leading german publishing companies. It produces high quality magazines. The editors ares upplied with informations by the press data bank, in which informations are stored from the leading newspapers and magazines in the world. At this time the traditional storing of press clippings in microform is substituted by digital optical recording technique. Using the Philips DOR-technology, Gruner & Jahr uses as one of the first archives this high technology. First experiences based on the storage of 600.000 pages are reported
