- Abstract
- Reports results of a study to determine the need for an alternative classification scheme for children, whether elementary school children have the ability to use such a classification system and the extent to which the use of colours and symbols as search aids may facilitate their search efforts. Findings of the study indicated that children do have the ability to use a system which is designed in keeping with their developmental level and that the use of colours and symbols as supplementary search aids can be successful
