    Abstract
Duplicate citations in databases and library and information centre catalogues are a frequent problem for end users and information professionals. Current practice involves downloading bibliographic citations from external sources and integrating them in local catalogues. Describes the main processes by which duplicates are removed and the cluster technique which allows citation comparison. A more extensive discussion is available on the ADBS website
