- Abstract
- Bislang gibt es zum Thema "Personal Digital Archiving" (PDA) nur wenige deutschsprachige Informationen und Handlungsanleitungen. In den USA haben sich hingegen die Library of Congress und die American Library Association des Themas angenommen. Der Beitrag erläutert die Entstehung, das Konzept und die Zielsetzung von PDA und skizziert die Möglichkeit, PDA zu einem Angebot Öffentlicher Bibliotheken zu entwickeln. Beispielhaft greift er dabei auch auf Erfahrungen aus einem Projekt zurück, das die TH Köln in Kooperation mit der Stadtbibliothek Köln durchführte.
