    Abstract
Presents a brief report on a study, carried out by the Centre for Interactive Systems Research, City University, to investigate the techniques used for evaluating OPACs: to explore and assess different data gathering methods in studying information seeking behaviour at the on-line catalogue; and to examine how a transaction logging facility could be enhanced to serve as a more effective diagnostic tool. Abstract
Presents a summary of a report published by the US Department of Commerce on the impact of the National Information Infrastructure (NII), the information superhgihway, on copyright laws in the USA. Explains the backgroud to the report, the aims of the NII, the role of the Information Infrastructure Task Force (IITF) set up by the Clinton administration, and the work of the Working Group on Intellectual Property Rights within the IITF. Presents the report's recommendations to the US Congress on changes to copyright laws, including clarification of the copyright owner's distribution right and amendment of library privileges to bring them into the digital age.

    Abstract
This is a report on how Doyle and others made a faceted classification scheme for content management systems and made it browsable on the web (see CMS Review in Example Web Sites, below). They discuss why they did it, how, their use of OPML and XFML, how they did research to find terms and categories, and they also include their taxonomy. It is interesting to see facets used in a business environment.

    Abstract
This report presents recent metadata developments for Dryad, a digital repository hosting datasets underlying publications in the field of evolutionary biology. We review our efforts to bring the Dryad application profile into conformance with the Singapore Framework and discuss practical issues underlying the application profile implementation in a DSpace environment. The report concludes by outlining the next steps planned as Dryad moves into the next phase of development.

    Abstract
JASIST has in recent years received many submissions reporting data analytics based on "Big Data" of online reviews scraped from various platforms. By outlining major issues in this type of scape-and-report scholarship and providing a set of recommendations, this essay encourages online reviews researchers to look at Big Data with a critical eye and treat online reviews as a sociotechnical "thing" produced within the fabric of sociomaterial life.

    Abstract
Presents a brief report of a study of the use patterns and perception of faculty and researchers regarding CD-ROM services at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Library, Saudi Arabia. The main objectives were: to ascertain use patterns and perceptions of CD-ROM services; and to elicit comments which would be used in developing a planning strategy to expand and enhance CD-ROM services
