    Abstract
    Content und Content Management hat innerhalb des Informations- und Wissensmanagements einen hohen Stellenwert. In diesem Buch werden Theorien, Strategien und Systeme, somit die Grundlagen für erfolgreiches Content Management, vorgestellt. Das Buch gliedert sich dabei in zwei Teile: Der erste Teil bietet in 10 Fachartikeln einen Überblick zu verschiedenen Aspekten des Content Managements, verfasst von 12 der bekanntesten Content Management Experten im deutschsprachigen Raum. Der zweite Teil des Buches enthält die Ergebnisse einer der weltweit grössten Studien über Content Management Systeme, in der mehr als 60 Systeme in einem speziell für diese Systeme entwickelten Verfahren evaluiert wurden. Diese am =mcminstitute der Universität St. Gallen durchgeführte Studie schafft Transparenz über Content Management Systeme, von kleinen Web-Redaktionssystemen bis hin zu umfangreichen Enterprise Content Management Systemen. Dabei werden funktionale Aspekte der Systeme, ihre Technologie, ihre Anpassbarkeit an Unternehmensbedürfnisse und ihre Zukunftssicherheit sowie die Bewertung dieser Systeme seitens Referenzkunden vorgestellt.
