    Die Dreigeteilte Bibliothek wurde vielfach zur Fraktalen Bibliothek weiterentwickelt. Zum Konzept dieser Variante gehört maßgeblich die Bildung von thematischen »Inseln«, die aus unterschiedlichsten Gruppen des ansonsten systematisch erschlossenen Bestandes bestückt werden.
