    Abstract
    Das systematische Schlagwortregister verzeichnet unter den jeweiligen Gliederungsgruppen die dazugehörigen Schlagwörter. Der verwendete Gliederungstext entspricht der aktuellen fassung der KAB/E. Das systematische Register basiert auf dem überarbeiteten alphabetischen Schlagwortregister zur KAB/E einschließlich der Nachträge und enthält ca. 14.500 Schlagwörter bzw. Schlagwortketten. Ein Novum gegenüber der im Jahre 1980 veröffentlichten zweibändigen Ausgabe des systematischen Schlagwortregisters ist die Angabe der Notation nach jedem Schlagwort. Dadurch erhöht sich der Aussagewert des Registers, da jeweils auf die weiteren Zuordnungsmöglichkeiten hingewiesen wird. Das systematische Schlagwortregister ist in erster Linie als Hilfsmittel für die Klassifizierung gedacht und damit ein wichtiges Arbeitsmaterial für den Bibliothekar.     Abstract
    Die Ausgabe 1993 der KAB/E ersetzt die im Bibliographischen Institut Leipzig erschienene Ausgabe 1990 sowie die Publikation 'Veränderte Hauptgruppen A-F und Veränderungen in weiteren Sachgruppen'. Alle bisher vorgenommenen Veränderungen sowie weitere, von den KAB-Anwendern gewünschte Ergänzungen, Korrekturen und Erweiterungen der Gliederung wurden berücksichtigt. Der Verweisungsapparat der Gliederung ist gegenüber der Ausgabe 1990 bedeutend erweitert worden. Das alphabetische Schlagwortregister wurde grundlegend überarbeitet, durch viele neue Begriffe und der Schlagwortnormdatei ergänzt und umfaßt jetzt ca. 14.500 Schlagwörter bzw. Schlagwortketten sowie Verweisungen. Der Kommentar enthält einleitend die Geschichte der KAB/E und erläutert Inhalt, Aufbau und Struktur der Gliederung

    Abstract
    Der 2., wesentlich erweiterte Nachtrag zum alphabetischen Schlagwortregsier der KAB/E enthält etwa 1.900 Begriffe und Verweisungen. Dabei handelt es sich größtenteils um neue Schlagwörter aus der praktischen Erschließungsarbeit der Bibliotheken und der ekz. Die Schlagwörter des 1. Nachtrages (1991) und des Registers zu den veränderten Hauptgruppen der KAB/E (1992) sind mit aufgenommen worden. Alle Notationen wurden überprüft und entsprechen jetzt der neuesten Fassung der Gliederung von 1991. Der Registernachtrag kann somit auch die Einführung der veränderten Sachgruppen unterstützen und erleichtern. Im Register finden sich viele spezifische Begriffe, die bei der täglichen Erschließungsarbeit bzw. beim Auffinden von Literatur nützlich sind
