- Abstract
- Wenn wir an eine Bibliografie denken, haben wir dann ein Schriftenverzeichnis vor Augen? Oder verstehen wir unter Bibliografie heute eher ein kommunikatives, offenes und vernetztes Webportal, das Eingang zu einem Informationsraum bietet? Wenn man Opacs, Datenbanken und andere bibliografische Angebote im Internet genauer betrachtet, bieten diese mehr als lediglich die Verzeichnung von Schriften. Es zeigt sich, dass Bibliografien nicht mehr »nur« einfache Literaturverzeichnisse sind. Vor dem Hintergrund aktueller Entwicklungen in Richtung Web 2.0 stellt sich die Frage, in welcher Form Bibliografien künftig ihren Nutzen haben werden. - Im Rahmen seiner Promotion hat der Autor vierzig Experten nach der Zukunft der Bibliografie befragt. Dieser Beitrag fasst die wesentlichen Ergebnisse der Studie zusammen.

- "10 Jahre DigiBib! Der Rückblick auf 10 Jahre Erfolgsgeschichte, aktuelle Anwenderberichte und der Ausblick auf neue Entwicklungen waren Thema der Jubiläumsveranstaltung am 12.11.2009 in Köln, die gleichzeitig das diesjährige Anwendertreffen der Digitalen Bibliothek (DigiBib) beinhaltete. Kundenbibliotheken und Partner feierten dieses Jubiläum im offiziellen und festlichen Rahmen. Seit dem Startschuss zur Digitalen Bibliothek NRW im Jahr 1999 hat sich die DigiBib von einem reinen Metasuchportal zu einem vielseitigen digitalen Dienstleistungsbündel entwickelt: von der Verknüpfung mit Lieferdiensten bis zur vollständigen Integration der Online-Fernleihe, vom Projekt Digitale Öffentliche Bibliothek bis zum Aufbau regionaler Portale in Stadt- und Kreissichten, vom Linkresolver für externe Anwendungen zur modularen Einbeziehung weiterer Dienste. Es folgten DigiLink und DigiAuskunft als integrale Bestandteile des digitalen Dienstleistungsportfolios, begleitet von dem fortschreitenden Aufbau des Angebotes digitaler Inhalte in der Metasuche und nicht zuletzt die aktuelle neue und barrierefreie Benutzeroberfläche im Stil der neuen Rechercheanforderungen. Web 2.0, Suchmaschinentechnologie und vollständig integrierte externe Dienste sind die aktuellen Rahmenbedingungen auf dem Weg einer kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung für und im Auftrag der heute 213 Kunden."

- Philadelphia, PA, USA January 23, 2002 - Today, ISI®, a Thomson business, announced that BIOSIS Previews®, produced by Biological Abstracts, Inc (BIOSIS) and available through ISI Web of KnowledgeSM, will include new searching and linking capabilities-enabling researchers to find the information they need to facilitate discovery. BIOSIS Previews, with coverage back to 1969, is the largest collection of biological sciences records in the world. The new search features provided by ISI Web of Knowledge enable users to search BIOSIS Previews more efficiently and comprehensively. Biosystematic code and name searching offer users the option of searching for groups of organisms by a term or combination of terms. Users will also be able to identify articles where authors have announced a new species. Concept code searching allows users to enter the five-digit code corresponding to a broad subject area in the life sciences. Users can select a specific time period for searching and limit retrieval by language and/or document type and organism. BIOSIS Previews version 2.0 enables users to link directly to cited references, times cited, and related records in ISI Web of Science*. Users can also link directly to the full text of articles. In addition, users will be able to link to ISI ProceedingsSM and ISI Current Contents Connect*.
