    Abstract
Brief report of the seminar: CD-ROM database quality, hosted by the Library Association and the CD-ROM Standards and Practices Group (SPAG) as part of the Libtech International 93 exhibition, Spet. 93. John Dawson discussed the issue of the accuracy of data entry on CD-ROM database quality and gave advice on setting accuracy guidelines when evaluating new contractors. Considered some of the practical problems of SGML and OCR scanning. Diane Richards described some of the CD-ROM database developments at INSPEC; including the latest data compression techniques allowing a full year of the INSPEC database to be loaded on a single CD-ROM. Discussed the techniques used by INSPEC to maintain the quality of the data and suggested ways in which publishers could help by providing bar codes for periodical issue dates and numbers. Chris Armstrong stressed the anecdotal nature of many users' perception and evaluation of database quality and describes the function of the Centre for Information Quality Management, formed to define database quality

    Abstract
The document delivery scene in the UK is still dominated by the British Library Document Supply Service (BLDSC), but its near monopoly is now being challenged by electronic based services such as Blackwell's UnCover and ADONIS. The latter uses CD-ROMs to offer the full page images of over 600 titles from 50 publishers. Economic considerations are likely to be the prime influence on the future development of document delivery services. Canvasses the views of a number of UK academic and special libraries on the topic
